(A) BOAT LOCATION The position of your boat in relation to the on-screen image. The on-screen image is a history of what you have passed over.

(B) WATER COLUMN The dark blue area shows structure and activity between the surface and bottom directly under the path of your boat.

(F) RISING TERRAIN Lighter shades of blue typically represent terrain rising from the bottom. Sometimes, very hard bottoms appear as a whiter shade.

(G) FALLEN LOG WITH SHADOW The shortened horizontal shadows indicate structure very close to the bottom of the lake. The angle of the shadow gives away the orientation of the log.

(H) STANDING TIMBER WITH SHADOW Objects standing off the bottom typically appear as a bright spot, or a clearly defined bright shape with an adjacent, dark sonar “shadow.“ This shadow is not caused by light rather it’s the lack of sonar return because the object has already reflected the sonar energy. Generally, long shadows indicate the object is tall, and small shadows indicate something short. It’s important to note the shadow will often tell you more about the object than the primary sonar reflection.

X-Press™ Menu - allows you to access the settings that are changed frequently without having to navigate through the whole menu system. Press the MENU key once to display the X-Press™ Menu. When you select a menu item from the X-Press™ menu, the menu will collapse, leaving only the menu choice on the screen. Use the Up or Down Cursor keys to reactivate the X-Press™ menu

Menus Available: • Light - use backlight for night fishing. Select either 0 (off) or 1 thru 5 to activate the backlight to the desired level • Sensitivity - controls how much detail is shown on the display. Increasing the sensitivity shows more sonar returns from small baitfish and suspended debris in the water. Decreasing the sensitivity eliminates the clutter from the display that is sometimes present in murky or muddy water • Zoom - select auto to magnify the area around the bottom in order to reveal fish and structure close to the bottom that may not be visible during normal operation • Fish Alarm - select off for no fish alarm or one of the three selectable levels to set the alarm. An alarm will sound when the PiranhaMAX detects fish that correspond to the alarm setting. Fish alarm will only sound if FishID+™ is turned on • FishID+™ uses the advanced signal processing to interpret sonar returns, and will display a fish symbol when very selective requirements are met

• Depth Alarm - select off for no Depth Alarm or select 1 to 30 metres to set the alarm depth. An audible alarm sounds when the depth is equal to or less than the setting • Filter - select either off or on. Designed to be permanently bonded to the interior of solid fibreglass hulls. On hulls with a deadrise less than 15ยบ, a straight puck should be used. For angles greater than 15ยบ, an angled puck is recommended to ensure the sonar signal travels squarely downward.

PC Connection Cable

Transducer Adapter Cable

Connects fishfinders to a PC, allowing up and down loading of information via DB9 connector using PC serial port. Includes power cable and detailed instructions. Two nine volt batteries are required to power the system. Suits Windows 95, 98, 98se, NT, 2000, ME, Vista, 7 and XP.

The transducer adapter cable enables the use of many current transducers with older model fishfinders that no longer have replacement transducers available.

System Link Cable

Transducer Adapter Cable

The system link cable enables the connection of two head units to one GPS receiver. The GPS receiver will provide GPS information to both units simultaneously. Head units can be located up to 10 metres from each other.

The transducer adapter cable enables the use of previously installed two pin transducers with current Humminbird units. Not suitable for use with 3D or side imaging units.
