Grounding & Protection Daily grounding and protection of your body and energy field are the key to living a balanced life of bliss. This simple technique will change your life on a body, mind and spirit level. If you have physical pain it will be eased or fully released. People who struggle with mental or emotional challenges will find their mind balancing as they become more in touch with their emotions and how their emotions affect their body. Furthermore, those struggling spiritually will find that this process reconnects them with their Higher Self and their purpose.

What is Grounding and Protection? Grounding is a process that allows you to connect to the earth and your body. This will bring you fully into the now. The protection piece is for those who are sensitive to energies and usually involves a process of surrounding yourself in white light or colors. We are all sensitive in our own ways. There are several different ways to ground and protect yourself. We will cover a few different ways so that you have a variety to choose from and apply to your life.

Did you know that just putting your feet in the earth will help ground you and reconnect you to your body?

Spending time in nature is a great way to ground yourself and stay balanced. Children who are a diagnosed with ADD or hyperactivity benefit greatly from daily grounding and protection. Gardening and outdoor play will help them become more present and focused. Not to mention it’s FUN!

What is the Purpose of a Grounding and Protection? We live in a fast-paced world and most people are living in their heads. A person who spends the majority of their time in their head will become disconnected from their body. Once disconnected, it becomes easy to miss signs of imbalance in the system. Daily grounding allows you to reconnect to your body and to the earth. This is the key to staying balanced and blissful. The protection of white light or colors allows each individual to have their own energetic space. It provides a cushion for those who are sensitive to energy and also sets a safe space for them as they go about their day.

When Would I Want to Ground and Protect Myself? Great question! It’s best to begin your day by grounding yourself, protecting your energy and setting an intention for the day. A good grounding is supposed to last 12 hours. Keep in mind that if you are a busy person, or more sensitive than others, you may need to ground and protect yourself more. Those who work as care givers or in the service industry may want to do this process several times a day. It is also beneficial to ground and protect yourself before going to public places with lots of people or to special events where emotions and feelings will be heightened.

Some people get busy and forget to ground. There are many ways to remind yourself. Here are just a few: *Set an alarm on your cell phone *Ground before you drive *Ground before you enter into new buildings *For females, you can remind yourself to ground each time you use the restroom. You are sitting already!

Using Your Natural Environment to Stay Grounded There are several different ways a person can ground themselves which is amazing! That means plenty to choose from. Below are some ways to ground that you can add into your daily life and routines. Gardening Spending Time in Nature Putting Your Feet in the Earth Cleaning/Organizing Playing Music with Drums or Heavy Beats Touch the Trees Massage or Bodywork Add Flowers/Plants into Your Home Exercise Wear the Color Red Yard work/Household chores Call in Archangel Metatron Eat/Juice Grounding Foods (Beets, Tubers, Sweet Potatoes, Yams, Carrots)

Daily Grounding and Protection Technique with Visualization You will want to begin each day with this technique and use it before going out into public places. This process can be as short or long as you feel is necessary. Each person has unique needs. It is all about intention and connection. When done on a regular basis this process will transform your life and you will feel blissful and balanced each day. Where you decide to do this process is up to you. I suggest doing it outside if possible. You can also do this in a seated position in a chair. Some people like to play music or light candles. This is all about what works for you! Try different ways of grounding until you find the one that most resonates with you. 1. Find a comfortable chair to sit in or sit in lotus position on the ground. 2. Start by becoming aware of your body. Just notice how you feel without judgment. 3. Once comfortable, close your eyes and take a few cleansing breaths. Take note of how you were breathing before you began. If you hold your breath when anxious you will immediately notice a shift. 4. As you breathe in, imagine breathing in relaxation and peace. Come into the now or the present moment. 5. Each time you exhale, let all the tension and worried thoughts you have leave your body. You can even imagine them coming out as pictures, words, shapes or colors. 6. As you do this, take yourself to a beautiful place in nature and imagine that you are under a large tree. 7. Let yourself connect to the earth and all that is around you. Feel the soil and grass. Smell the flowers and the trees. Hear the birds chirping in the trees. Let the sun warm your skin and allow a gentle breeze to flow around you. 8. Continue to breathe in and out. Let all that you are releasing flow into the clouds and imagine those clouds just drifting away. 9. Allow yourself to see a beautiful rainbow flowing toward you. Imagine that you can breathe that rainbow into your body and ask it to become a warm, healing liquid. Notice where the colors flow in your body. Let the colors melt away tension, pain, disease…any blocks that no longer serve you. 10. Take the colors throughout your entire body. Let them move all the way down your arms, through the entire core of your body and into your legs. 11. Once you have the color flowing through your entire body, imagine that the colors extend from your body and become roots just like the tree you are sitting under. Let them leave through the soles of your feet, the palms of your hands and the base of your spine. 12. Let those roots tunnel deep into the earth and send them all the way to the center. 13. Now imagine that a big crystal is in the center of the earth and that your roots are wrapping around that crystal.

Daily Grounding and Protection Technique with Visualization 14. Once you are connected to the crystal you can continue to let go of anything from your body that no longer serves you. Ask your subconscious mind to release blocks to you feeling balanced and healthy. If there is anything that you are seeking to heal and break free from, this is a great time to let it go. Send it all down into the crystal. Mother Earth is a great recycler and healer. She will transform it! 15. After you have released all that you want to let go of, imagine that you can bring up new energy from the crystal. Let it begin to flow into your body in colors until it is flowing out of the top of your head. Send the rainbow all the way up to your Higher Self and beyond to the Creator Energy or God. If you feel open to Divine support, invite angels and beings of love and light in to guide and heal you. 16. Just be in that space until you feel complete. During this time it is good to set an intention for the day. Show your subconscious mind the day you want to have. Be specific. What do you want to look like, dress like, and feel like? Who do you want to spend time with? What do you want to spend your time doing? This is a great way to co-create your life! 17. After you have finished setting your intention, imagine surrounding yourself in either white light or just let the rainbow expand out of your body as far as you can. This is your protection for the day. Set the intention that only beings of love and light can enter into your space. This energy bubble will allow you to feel your own feelings and not take on the thoughts and feeling of others. 18. Take in one last deep breath. Breathe in all that you need. Release any remaining blocks. When ready, open your eyes and return to the present.

Once you have completed this process your subconscious mind will be familiar with the colors and intentions. The great thing about the subconscious mind it that it stores information and wants to keep you safe. The minute you connect to that place in nature and see the rainbow the subconscious will begin the process of grounding you. If during the day you become ungrounded, you can do this process anywhere and feel a difference. It could even be done while standing in line at the supermarket. This will become your new tool for becoming focused, reconnecting to your body and letting go of things that are not serving you.
