FAMILY & MWR FAMILY ADVOCACY PROGRAM

The Family Advocacy Program is dedicated to the education and prevention of spouse and child abuse. We believe in prevention before intervention. The program provides a variety of resources and services to active-duty Soldiers, dependents of active-duty Soldiers, Department of Defense ID cardholders, and Veterans.

Family Advocacy’s mission is to enhance relationship skills, strengthen life skills, and improve family’s quality of life. The Family Advocacy Program accomplishes the mission through a variety of briefings and workshops that can be tailored to address and resolve specific needs.

The program facilitates community awareness by providing weekly in-person and virtual Domestic Violence and Child Abuse briefings to the units, along with life skill classes. Outreach is a critical component of community awareness. Staff members

Outreach can come to a unit, partner with a Soldier and Family Readiness Group (SFRG), or is a critical a community organization to provide an component of community overview of our resources and services to Soldiers and Family members as well. Our military is constantly facing awareness. changes and challenges, the Family Advocacy Program team is always here to provide resources and support.
