What started a couple years ago to market a small, handful of bulls, has turned into something more successful than we could have imagined. For that, we have many people to thank including old customers, new customers, and many friends with a lot of encouragement. One thing you’ll notice is consistency. The same cows appear over and over, and the same from past offerings. We believe in balance. Phenotype is still crucial, but cattle also need performance. This is why the bulls also are top performers with good EPDs to go along with the actual data. All of the bulls are sired by top A.I. sires in their respective breeds. We encourage you, if able, to come view the bulls in person on the farm. Please reach out to us with any questions, we’d be happy to talk even if you aren’t in the market at the moment. LOCATION & TRANSPORTATION - Cattle are located at the farms near Halfway and Buffalo, MO. Transportation is at the buyer’s expense unless discussed with us prior to purchase. We will do our best to assist you in any way we can.

SALE STIPULATIONS - Animals will sell on a first come first serve basis. Prices of bulls will be on an individual basis. We will offer repeat customer, early pick up and volume discounts for multiple bulls. Please contact us for further information. We reserve the right to retain 25% semen interest on all bulls, unless noted. Selling full possession.

GENETIC TESTING - DNA has been submitted for all bulls and is pending. Please check the ASA or AAA registry or with us for updates.

BREEDING GUARANTEE - All bulls will sell with a breeding soundness guarantee. Should a bull not be of age to conduct the BSE before time of pick-up we will guarantee the breeding soundness of the bull and reduce the price by $50 for you to conduct a BSE with your local veterinarian before turnout.

The index is a simple, yet functional measure of an all purpose type figure that does not over or underweight any particular trait, and focuses on 4 main criteria.

1.) Emphasis on a live calf with birthweight and calving ease equally factored in. Only live calves are marketable, and while CED and BWEPD represent only 2/13 EPD traits measured in the breed, they represent 20% of the SPI.

2.) Growth is essential in any herd. Market calves must produce pounds at weaning, pounds at slaughter, and replacements must grow into functional females, large and healthy enough to produce high quality calves. Herd sires must transfer exceptional growth traits to their progeny. For these reasons it represents a large portion on the index.

3.) The Shorthorn breed is known for its maternal traits, and maybe no more important quality are females that calve on their own, milk well, exhibit superior structure, and last many years in the herd. SPI takes these qualities into account in a large way.

4.) Carcass traits are essential, but we felt the $F index does an adequate job of valuing those traits, so therefore does not make up a large portion of the overall figure.

You’ll spend a lot of time and effort to find a more unique bull. From his look, to his pedigree and EPDs he represents our goals as a provider of purebred and commercial herd sires. The calving ease from Hot Commodity & Gauge combined with the growth and power from the Leveldale cow herd and 127X makes this bull a complete package. A beautifully designed front end, eye appeal, and powerful hip. Perfect structurally, and on the move. I suspect his semen will be available at some point, and for good reason. You can reap the rewards if you choose. Retaining ownership through summer 2023 to show, and 50% semen rights.

A phenotypic freak, that we feel is as good of a bull we have maybe ever raised. Large framed, wide based, stout, yet still very smooth and complete. His dam is a big bodied, deep, easy fleshing high end producer with multiple daughters in the herd, and her sons flat out grow. Based on genomics he ranked in the top 1% for MK & HP. Top 25% $M. This one is a maternal king, and those are hard to find. He’s good enough to hang a few purple banners, if that’s the direction you want to take him.

Incredible calving ease with a tremendous phenotype. Its not common to find a bull with this amount of muscle expression and stoutness with such a great CED/BWEPD. A beautiful side profile, smooth throughout, and excellent square hip to produce those show females, or solid replacements. Top 20% MB and top 5% $BMI. A lot of future options for a great herd sire with these characteristics. He is so quiet and calm we struggled to get his attention and ears during pictures!

Big bodied, deep ribbed and just a power packed bull all the way through. His overall design and incredibly calm nature have made him one of our favorites since birth. Our Growth Fund’s have been our most powerful, highest performing bulls that last few years and this guy is a great example. There will be a lot of high selling, high indexing bulls that won’t be able to transfer the performance to their calves like this one will. Very good growth EPDS and $ values with a moderate birthweight.

A statistical anomaly, and the only purebred bull in the breed with a top 1% CED, top 2% BWEPD, and top 35% WWEPD and top 45% YWEPD. No other Times Square son exists with this amount of calving ease and above average growth numbers. Combine that with his natural thickness, smooth look and excellent SPI, MK, MB, and $ indexes this is a true, complete heifer safe bull. He has all the bases covered, and out of a two year old heifer!

What started out as a bit of an experiment has garnered some attention. That has been our 0734 sired sons, which have maybe been our most consistent and highest grossing Shorthorns recently. The bull represents “real world” genetics. Moderate, deep ribbed, easy fleshing and sound. His dam sports a perfect udder and has never missed a calving interval. If you are able to view the bulls in person this one will be in the “ show pen” with the lot 1 bull because he is that good.

Impressive growth and carcass traits, maybe the best bull in terms of those qualities in the group. Top 1% YW, CW, MB, $F, top 2% WW, top 5% REA, top 10% CED, TM, top 20% CEM & $BMI. This bull took off from the moment he was born and posted a 792lb ADJ WW out of a first calf heifer. Bone, size, fleshing ability, power, calving ease. What more could you want? How about the highest SPI in the group at 140.37 to go along with it all.

A stout, deep ribbed Rainfall sired calf that will make your head turn. His power and sure footedness grabs your attention in person. Combined with 23 EPD and index values in the top 25% of the breed he is a complete all around herd sire. His dam is quickly becoming one of our better cows only a couple years into production. The Rainfalls are huge hits across the country for their fleshing ability, good feet, and calving ease. If you want a low input bull to sire low input females then look no further.

The most heavily muscled bull in the group. Wide topped and incredibly powerful, yet still maintains a great negative BWEPD and good CED. Top 20% Claw and Angle with a top 15% $M. The females he sires will last a long time, and his sons will be stout and easy fleshing. The Comrade females have been our most attractive, feminine Angus recently and his dam is no exception. The bull really has a lot of positive traits going for him.

A larger framed Times Square son with some performance. A full brother in blood to the Champaign bull sharing this page with him. This bull is a little larger, heavier version, but still great calving ease and a good $BMI(top 15%). This bull would work really well on some stout, soggy females, or club calf genetics. A neat color pattern and really calm nature with a clean front end and overall look.

An attractive, heifer safe option with a neat look. This bull’s maternal sibling just topped the most recent Missouri Shorthorn Online Sale as the highest selling lot as a bred heifer. He is a great example of what we hoped for with the Times Square x Hot Commodity cross. A show look with top notch calving ease, maternal qualities, and respectable performance. A ¾ sibling to the Columbia bull and top 15% BMI.

A neatly designed, high performing bull with a ton of natural thickness. Lots of rib depth, smooth shouldered and sound. A really quiet attitude out of our most docile mature cow. Calving ease and performance combination that will excel in any breeding situation.

This is our first Enhance sired bull to be offered from us, and he is a stud. An excellent phenotypic profile, stout hipped, with good rib expression. He might possess the thickest made back 1/3 of the whole group and is as good fronted of a bull you’ll find. He boasts an incredible set of EPDs across the board.

A larger frame, high performing, functional bull out of a high producing two year old first calf heifer. Moderate at birth and grew in to an impressive 756 ADJ WW. The second highest WW and YW EPD values in the group with a top 10% CW and top 20% CED. 13 out of 16 EPD and index’s in the top 35% of breed. This calf has a bright future in any type of herd, but would really excel in a commercial environment.

Every year we have an eye appealing Hot Commodity sired calf, and every year they are really good. This bull has three full sibling sisters we have retained back into the herd, including the dams of Lubbock and Manhattan. The third is due this coming Fall as a first calf heifer bred to sexed female semen after settling first service. The maternal ability is strong in these genetics. All of our Cherry females go back to one cow, 4N7, and here you can buy the closest related herd bull to the one that started it all.

This bull is athletic, full of style and eye appeal. Long bodied, extremely sound, but with a good amount of mass. Top 1% CED & BWEPD with a 71lb BW. This is your can’t miss heifer bull His Growth Fund dam did an excellent job as he posted a 778lb ADJ WW out of a two year old. This has to be one of the best Flat Top sired bulls that exist today.

A big middled, soggy, easy fleshing Flat Top out of another Growth Fund daughter. Top 5% CED & BWEPD with a 65lb ADJ BW. He also posted an 804lb ADJ WW gaining 3.5 lbs a day out of a first calf heifer. An uprecedented birth to weaning spread that’s hard to find. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a bull this thick made out of a heifer.

A carbon copy of his full sibling that sold in 2022, Ames is a moderate, functional type calf that continues to only get better with age. The last couple of years our visitor’s always ask about a couple cows in particular. One of them is his dam, 7N23. Maybe our best looking, eye catching female in the herd with a perfect udder. He’ll be good footed, sound and produce nice females. A dark red, polled, total package for a lot of breeding options.

Not a copy and paste error, Madison 227 is a full brother in blood to the Ames 223 bull. Paint him dark red and I’m not sure you could tell them apart. A perfect amount of bone, rib volume, and well-structured describe both of them. Jeff Aegerter picked out his full sister as our best bred female due to calve Fall of 2023. The Captains have just started to hit our cow herd as production females and we have really liked what we have seen so far.

The Rainfalls are consistent, consistently muscular, sound, deep and very maternal. This bull is the same with all of those qualities. Top 15% $M & MB. Good footed with excellent claw and angle scores. His dam is a moderate beautiful young cow we have high hopes for in the future.

A fleshy, heifer safe herd bull. He also contains a lot of power for being the youngest Angus bull and still adjusting to the highest actual WW of the group at 834lbs. He was extremely efficient out of a first calf heifer, and his progeny will be as well. Top 10% MK, top 15% $EN and $W. Top 30% MB.

From a confirmation standpoint this might be one of the best calves in the offering. Square, level topped, deep sided and really smooth shouldered. Just from his phenotype its obvious the calving ease and maternal qualities he possesses. Then just add to the fact he’s top 1% MK, top 2% $BMI & ST, top 4% TM, and top 10% CED. His granddam, 6N33 is the dam of GPN Red Card 0N46 who has gained a lot of attention over the last couple of years.

Balance is key and the term if an animal is above average at everything, then they are exceptional, is true. This bull is just that with 15/16 EPD and index’s above average. Moderate birthweight and a good weaning weight. His full brother sold in our offering last year, another full sib in our 2021 offering, and a maternal half sibling in 2020. His dam quietly continues to be one of our best producers. Consistency is also key, and not sure if you can improve upon 4 herd bulls in a row with an average BW ratio of 98 and WW ratio of 102.

The first Red Card calf born on our farm. Out of a first calf heifer, easy and unassisted. He grew out well, and much like his sire boasts a really nice EPD profile. A double shot of Hot Commodity on each side of the pedigree combined with Gauge and Prime Time Teddy checks a lot of boxes. Growth, calving ease, and a nice phenotype.

The youngest bull in the offering, but he’s really starting to excel and pack on the pounds after being weaned. Makes sense considering he has the highest growth EPD’s of any of the Shorthorns in the offering and a 156.7 $BMI, easily ranking him in the top 1% . 13/16 EPD’s & indexs in the top 25% of the breed. Much like the Athens bull he’s got excellent muscle expression and a unique look.
