The world of skateboarding used to only stretch to the end of my road. It was made of hills, sewer caps, and driveways. My older brother’s friends exposed me to professional skateboarding and the Richmond skateboarding scene through Dominion Skateshop’s videos. I couldn’t believe there were people from Virginia who could do things I had only seen in magazines and videos. They traveled to skate new and different places and helped me understand the skate dream and the spirit the behind it. t The making of videos inevitably becomes more technical and involves a new dynamic of people and tricks. All that comes and goes in growth and decay, but the spirit of skateboarding lives. It is a such a pleasure to be a part of a community and be inspired by others with their own take on riding a skateboard. The experiences of making this video have been adventurous, humorous, and everything in between. From unforgettable street lines, that were almost never a thought, to nightmare ideas that someone might dare to try, I have been fortunate to witness so much awesome shit that is going into this video. To speak for others, we hope you enjoy! This zine gives you a look into the past few years of filming for the Old Dominion video. Thanks for contributing to the skate-spirit and STAY STOKED! -Jordan Bradshaw
