“From Japan, With Love” - A Series of 35mm Film Photography from Tokyo, Osaka, & Kyoto, Japan. Taken in June 2018, we set out to travel, explore, and document in the land of the rising suns, Japan. Across multiple cities, we trekked all around absorbing and capturing everything this country has to offer. And trust us, it’s a lot. The Japanese tend to organize, color-code, and distinguish each product by its function. So everything out there was oddly beautiful as is. Not to mention the people, they shine with golden energy. Responding to English with friendly gestures and notions, they took care of us. Pointing us to the right direction. Everytime. Every nook and cranny had a story, and day by day, we were able to snap dozens of these throughout the week. The local people who got their photos taken by us we’re surprised, accepting, and full of humility. This collection of photos is filled with imagery we gravitate towards. Silent streets, warm faces, & long nights. From Japan, With Love is an ode to the land of the rising sun, the country of Japan.
