CAPSULE HOTEL
Professor Glenda Puente Comprehensive Design | Summer 2019The capsule hotel was designed in a site located in Miami Beach. Understanding the site’s limitations and zoning restrictions. The building was designed to host a program that fits Miami Beach’s lifestyle. Using the approach of shifting volumes the design created outdoor areas with outstanding views. Also this approach helps the building to blend into the city grid. The building will host retail stores, coffee shop, restaurant, gym and hotel rooms.

Design 6 | Spring 2018
The infill housing project was a second project devel oped for a site in Savannah,GA.
In this project the main goal was to create an apart ment building for college students.
The first obstacle of this site was how to bring natural light into the apartments based on the infill site con ditions. The solution was the creation of a courtyard in the center of the building bringing lighting into the apartments and creating a common area for the residents.
This building contains a studio, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments, study area and a garden.

Professor Camilo Rosales Colaboration Amanda Caraballo Thesis | Spring 2020 Genoa, ItalyThis project was developed to take place in a histori cal site in Genoa, Italy. The design concept Was the incorporation of the solid and void idea of the city grane. The use of volumes and open spaces translated the urban quality od the city into this proj ect. The design was intended to maintain the existing ruins and use it as a host for the new program for the community. The insertion of solids houses gallery spaces, library, auditorium and coffee shop. The voids bring areas where we have gardens, sitting areas and circulation. All the project is highlighted and frames with a rib structure.
