Podcasts and Radio Podcasts have become a central stage for Black voices.

Over the last few years, Black podcast listeners have also grown in numbers. Some highly regarded podcasts include 1619, which relates Black Americans' lived experience, and stories of survival, Tonya Mosley's Truth Be Told, which gives advice for surviving the challenges of being a person of color and Snap Judgment by Glynn Washington which uses the best of oral storytelling tradition to weave stories of her guests around a specific topic. African Americans spend more time per week streaming audio, including podcast listening, than the total U.S. population. In a typical week, almost half (49%) of African American podcast listeners spend about 1 to 4 hours listening to podcasts. The top genres are music, arts and religion areas that connect the Black community. Radio too has remained a trusted channel for news and information for African Americans, reaching 98% of them every month.

Voorhees Stream-A-Thon

Working Together In 2020, 3815 Media, Inc. Money Making Conversations participated in the Voorhees College Stream-a-Thon. The goal for the Stream-a-Thon, raise $1 million for the college during these pandemic times. Promote nationally to let people know about the event. Rushion McDonald, interviewed Dawnn Lewis, starred in "A Different World," Jo Marie Payton, starred in "Family Matters," Bakari Sellers, "CNN" Political Analyst, Cheryl Cooley, "Klymaxx" - All Female R&B Band and Rachel Cobbin, "Atlantic Starr." Voorhees Stream-a-Thon took place Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Voorhees is an HBCU and is located in Denmark, SC. Money Making Conversations airs on the campus radio station every Sunday from 4 PM-6 PM on WVCD 96.5 FM and 790 AM. Voorhees College celebrated the greatest fundraising achievement in the institution’s history on Giving Tuesday. The Denmark, South Carolina HBCU reportedly raised $1,003,816 during a 12-hour live stream-a-thon that was held on Dec. 1, 2020 surpassing its goal of $1 million.

3815 Media, Inc. launched the HBCU Awards. The format recognizes the positive impact of HBCUs, Institutions: churches, barbershops, and beauty salons, and Influencers on the African American culture in Education, Business, and Entertainment. Online category nominations are by HBCU students, HBCU Alumni, fans, and the general public. Today, there are over 104 HBCUs across the country. Working Together In 2019, 3815 Media, Inc. created a partnership between ESPN and HBCU Week to broadcast “First Take” live during their HBCU Week College Fair in Wilmington, DE. HBCU Week Student Attendees were eligible to receive on-the-spot admission and/or scholarship awards, simply by having their SAT/ACT Scores and Transcripts. When asked by the Air National Guard to deliver 2.5 Billion impressions and provide the foundation to meet Recruiting and Retention End-Strength numbers. The 3815 Media, Inc. team delivered 4.2 Billion impressions and met Air National Guard end strength with 104% goal, achieving 16,672 recruits. Additional creative deliverables in a ten month window included a new creative library (with the newly acquired Battle Uniform), 16 radio commercials, 11 video commercials, a complete nurturing program, and updated website.

Tell the Air National Guard story of how a “Guardsman” could serve in the military, in your hometown, and be a community leader. The challenge was finding a venue to exhibit this extraordinary story on a restricted government budget. The Venue New York's Penn Station - History was made with the first ever live event in Penn Station. Chief Marketing Officer Our Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is responsible for taking a holistic view of 3815 Media, Inc. This role will define marketing strategies to support the company’s overall strategies and objectives for all traditional and digital marketing (website, SEO, SEM, email and strategy) efforts. Our CMO is responsible for the development and recruitment of a highly efficient team of marketing professionals with the talent necessary to successfully execute on all media marketing efforts.

Program Director Our Program Director handles the radio and podcast syndication of Money Making Conversations. He researches, develops and plans outreach programs that promote our company brand and contribute to its overall success. He oversees each program’s distribution and produces the bi-monthly Money Making Conversations newsletter.

Executive Producer Our Executive Producer oversees the Money Making Conversations production platform. She handles the talent booking and studio production schedule. She ensures the project is completed on time, within budget, and meets technical standards.

Senior Marketing Director Our Senior Marketing Director is in charge of the marketing and creative departments. His duties include planning company advertisements, monitoring and developing brand campaigns and RFPs, revising presentations, and shaping brand standards. The Senior Marketing Director will ensure client satisfaction in all customer related products.

Post Production Supervisor Our Post-Production Supervisor pulls the final project together, making sure deadlines are met, overseeing reshoots and visual effects, editing, printing, product delivery, and maintaining communication between producers, editors, and outsourced work.

Director of Social Media Our Social Media Director implements a plan, outlines a strategic goal and determines a course of action. Audio Engineer Our Audio Engineer is responsible for our radio syndication, and podcast recordings. He records, synchronizes, mixes, or reproduces music, voices, or sound effects.

Video Editors Our Video Editors have over 15 years of video editor experience and possess both technical and creative abilities to be able to effectively create the vision clients have in mind. Our staff has the experience working with different editing software and have a keen eye for creative digital design.
