The Girl I Once Knew

I was searching for a girl

When it was just me versus the world

Damn, I really loved that girl

She watched as Satan unraveled me

Stripped from my innocence

He grasped ahold of me

Choking, feeling the pain from this man

Hurting me, torture at the palm of his hands

Ripped me, beat me, suffocated me

Was this real or a horrendous fantasy

I cried in pain, in agony

As I watched the girl I once knew walk away from me

He said, "This is between you and me"

So I couldn't tell anybody

But, I felt like dying inside,

Somebody help me

All I could do was sit there and sob

Tears felt like the rain - I hate it

Please make it stop

Left all alone

Just me and the world

In the midst of the night, I looked for that girl
