Impact Steel aims to identify and eradicate waste in our customers’ and our own business to create and capture value. Our Industry First Steel Efficiency Review is a comprehensive customer survey examining the following 7 key pre-production stages:

What is the optimum level of stock to carry in your business? What are your ordering cycle processes, materials receipting and stock management processes?

1. Over production How you undertake production scheduling considering inventory on floor, handling, storage, staff and machinery breakdowns? 2. Time in waiting What is the cost of time in waiting considering the impact of the scheduling process, operational layouts, and reliance on 3rd parties?

6. Motion What is the cost of stock movement in your business? What is the movement of product around your business based on machinery, warehouse layout and safety impact? 7. Rework What are the possible causes of rework? What does it cost your business? By looking closely at our customers’ production and processing lines, we aim to identify cost and time savings, remove bottlenecks, and make incremental changes which can translate into profit improvements.

A) Delivery in Full and On-Time (DIFOT) We work with our customers to develop a customer specific DIFOT – Just In Time service supported by an Impact Steel Supply Agreement. We aim to improve efficiency in our customers’ productivity schedules.

Impact Steel Service Charter This Service Charter was developed with input from our customers and our staff. What you can expect from Impact Steel:

Customer Product Schedules We provide customised Product Schedules to reflect each customer’s product and usage needs.

Stock Management In consultation with our customers, we establish reorder levels considering standard seasonal fluctuations utilizing historical and forecasting data. Specific stock information can be provided to ensure continuity of supply and understanding of stock levels.

Delivery Agreements & Lead Times Our transport fleet is a dedicated steel sheet and coil carrier. We maintain 100% delivery in full and on time for agreed stock items. We also provide next working day delivery of agreed stock items and 48 hour in-house processing turn-around on urgent items.

Sales Service Frequency We set a mutually agreed visitation schedule with our customers to address any issues and facilitate information exchange. We also provide guidance on possible supply innovations and improvements.

Product and Service Quality We are fully supported with quality product backed by technical and engineering expertise from our suppliers. Our steel sheet and coil products are sourced from reputable manufacturers and suppliers.

Packaging & Labelling Customer’s Part Identification Numbers can be used on shipping and sales documentation for easy of receipting and stock control.

Traceability We adhere to Australian industry standards, including size, quantity and grade of steel sheet and coil products. We have the processes and systems that allow for full traceability of product as required.
