10 reasons to run Rammer breakers in your fleet
by Blue Group
Blue Machinery and Murray Plant (A Blue Scotland Company) are the exclusive UK dealers for the Rammer brand. This includes the full range of Rammer Hammers, the world’s leading and most respected brand for hydraulic hammer attachments.
Rammer are known for their range of powerful, productive and durable hydraulic attachments that are suitable for carriers in the 0.6-120 tons operating weight class. Here are 10 reasons to run Rammer breakers within your fleet.
1. Unmatched innovation & reliability
Rammer have been manufacturing hydraulic hammers for over 40 years and have been a world leader since their inception in 1978. The Rammer brand reputation is built on quality, reliability and innovation.
2. Two product lines using two different technologies
Rammer’s offering is split into two product lines using different technologies. The ‘Excellence’ line is suitable for all applications and is mainly targeted at more specialised users. The ‘Performance’ range is ideal for contractors and customers working with less demanding duties. Rammer has a solution for every customer.
3. Rammer hits harder
Rammer breakers have FBE (Fixed Blow Energy). The breakers have a built-in pressure control valve which maintains hydraulic pressure levels to ensure that every blow delivers the maximum power possible for optimum productivity. When every hit counts, Rammer hits harder.
4. RD3 remote monitoring
RD3 is a remote monitoring device that attaches securely to your Rammer hammer and monitors daily work hours, impact periods, service intervals, GPS location and much more. RD3 is available as standard with the Excellence line and as an option on Performance line. They can also be retrofitted after your hammer has been delivered. Rammer have brought hammers into the digital age.
5. Vibration & sound suppressed
The ultra-modern and low-wear design on Rammers medium and large range of breakers results in less vibrations and significantly lower noise levels compared to other breakers on the market. This protects the operator and the carrier, whilst allowing you to work on sites with strict rules on noise pollution.
6. No tie rods / VIDAT tie rods
Rammer’s small breaker range are built without tie rods, allowing for ideal guidance of the piston and optimal alignment of the tool. Whilst the medium and large range feature VIDAT (vibration dampened, external tie rods). Both set ups allow for fast, safe and easy maintenance without the need for special tools.
7. Models specifically design for the UK market
Rammer have developed three models specifically for the UK market. The 111, 222, 333 models feature a slimmer design allowing them to operate effectively in narrow and confined work areas, such as trenches. These three models also feature a pressure release system for fast and safe hose removal for quick couplers, light weight for broad carrier adaptability and 30% fewer parts and no tie rods for less maintenance.
8. IBP (Idle Blow Protection)
Rammer’s medium and large range of breakers have Idle Blow Protection (IBP) technology. IBP ensures the hammer cannot be operated until pressure is placed on the tool. This eliminates tie rod stress, reduces oil overheating and protects against blank fires.
9. Membrane Type Accumulator
The Rammer range also feature Membrane Type Accumulator which eliminates nitrogen leaks, ensuring constant maximum impact power and eliminates the need for recharging in field.
10. Simple lower tool bushing replacement
You can rotate or replace the lower tool bushing in the field by removing the easy-to-use pin. The replaceable lower tool bushing decreases your maintenance costs, whilst reducing your operating cost and cost of ownership.
