n Finding Neverland, playwright J.M. Barrie struggles to find a captivating story until he meets the four young Llewelyn Davies brothers and their mother. Their relationship leads to the creation of one of literature’s most beloved characters: Peter Pan. Discover the inspiration behind the boy who wouldn’t grow up and his awfully big adventure to the stage. Finding Neverland is based on the 2004 film of the same name and inspired by Barrie’s real adventures with the Llewelyn Davies family. It opened on Broadway in 2015. Peter Pan premiered at Duke of York’s Theatre in London on Dec. 27, 1904. The play saw annual revivals on the West End through 1962, with the exception of two years during World War II. That’s a lot of flights to Neverland!

Finding Neverland pays homage to the tradition of casting a woman in the role of Peter Pan as has often been done onstage since the play’s premiere.

ream the dream as the musical phenomenon returns to the Charlotte stage. Based on the novel by Victor Hugo, Les Misérables first opened on London’s West End in 1985. The show became an international phenomenon with its move to Broadway in 1987. Today, the musical continues to inspire audiences with the story of broken dreams, resilient love and revolution. This new production comes direct from a two-and-a-half-year Broadway revival and incorporates Hugo’s own paintings into the staging and scenery.
