OUR FAV IG ACCOUNTS
who always gets our tap?
Wren: I am a huge fan of IG and am on there many times a day. @NoRootsBoots, Love that girl! She has an amazing business she built, an Airstream named Pearl, a beautiful farmhouse and I love her aesthetic. Very inspiring!
Vanessa: I agree, I love watching her stuff too. I'm not a huge IG person, but when I'm on, I check out @Vintagebohobags because she's very entertaining and her life looks like my type of adventure. A little home decor, a little fashion, strong business woman, a little western and lots of travel. Actually, she travels a bit much for me, it looks exhausting!
How To Shoot a Flat Lay
HEY Y'ALL, WREN HERE! IF YOU'VE READ MY BOOK, "MAKING 6 FIGURES BY 21", THEN YOU KOW THIS TIP IS OUT OF MY BOOK!
FLAT LAY PHOTOS ARE AN ESSENTIAL PART OF A PRODUCT BASED BUSINESS. WHETHER YOU'RE A COFFEE SHOP, CLOTHING BOUTIQUE, HOME STORE, ETC., YOU CAN PRETTY MUCH WALK INTO ANY STORE AND PICK SOMETHING UP THAT WOULD MAKE AN {AESTHETICALLY PLEASING} INSTAGRAM PHOTO.
So, here are my secrets! -GRAB YOUR PRODUCT!
MAKE SURE TO SHOOT IN NATURAL LIGHT, I SET UP MY PROP AREA IN FRONT OF A BIG WINDOW OR DOOR. GATHER ACCESSORIES YOU WANT YOUR PIECE STYLED WITH. TEXTURE IS ALWAYS A GREAT WAY TO GO, So are FLOWERS, GREENERY, WHEAT, YOU NAME IT!
I LIKE TO THROW IN A FEW LAYERS; HERE I HAVE A GOAT RUG LAYERED WITH A CUTTING BOARD, LAYERED WITH DRIED FLORALS.
-STAGGER YOUR PIECE, YOU WANT IT At AN ANGLE, AT LEAST I ALWAYS THINK THAT LOOKS BETTER!
TAKE PHOTOS FROM THE TOP, BELOW AND THE SIDE, THIS WAY YOU GET ALL ANGLES OF YOUR PIECE!
-NOW EDIT, THIS IS THE FUN PART! FOR MY EXACT EDITING STYLE, YOU CAN FIND IT IN MY BOOK, "MAKING 6 FIGURES BY 21", WHICH CAN BE PURCHASED ON AMAZON. IT'S A LOT EASIER THAN YOU THINK!

BROOK MORTENSEN
BROOK
Happy fall y’all!
My name is Brook Mortensen I was born and raised on the northeastern plains of Colorado I come from a long line of farmers and ranchers that have poured their blood, sweat, and tears into this land before me My family farm was named a Centennial Farm in 2016, which means the farm has remained a working farm/ranch in the Mortensen family continuously for over 100 years I am very proud of my last name and feel very blessed to have had the upbringing I had I participated in 4 H since I was of age, showing livestock was always my favorite I started dance classes when I was three years old and never ventured away from it Although you wouldn’t believe it, because according to my mom I’m a “bull in a china shop”, I am a ballerina Now, I swing dance or two step anytime I have the chance! Although free time is not something I have have a lot of, when I do have some I love to be on the back of a horse, at a concert, or spending time with my family and friends.
After high school I left my little hometown for 4 years to go to college where I affirmed that I was not made for the city You know the saying “you can take the girl out of the country but you can’t take the country out of the girl” that is definitely me After college I ventured back home to small town America where my heart is at home I spend my Monday Thursdays 8 5ish in scrubs cleaning teeth
I have always had a love for fashion, and because of my lifestyle my passion is western fashion You can always guarantee that I will show up overdressed, and wearing 14 layers of jewelry haha! I aim to always create unique, memorable fashion statements Fast fashion is not for me, I attempt to stand apart with my clothing Being a cowgirl doesn’t have to look a certain way, wether you’re working on the ranch or getting gussied up for a night out

I have always been big on fashion, but recently, within the last few years twisted my style solely on western looks. I’ve had the pleasure of working with some amazing boutiques and companies in the past, but I’m exceptionally excited to be collaborating with Blush Out West. I’m a horse mom of 4, have had horses all my life. Grew up doing 4 H and OHSET, and now I rodeo. I work in healthcare, and am going back to school to be a nurse.

COUNTRY, WHEN COUNTRY WASN'T COOL
MCKENZIEMeet
Hey y'all I'm Kenzie Kay I'm a western lifestyle and fashion creator based in Oregon. My family has been raising cattle for 4 generations and any spare time I have I spend on the farm helping where I can I was onced embarrassed of my upbringing given I am relatively close to Portland and it wasn't "cool" to be country Once I moved away for college I realized how much I missed living in the middle of nowhere and how happy being around cattle and horses made me. I now share my family's cows, my love of horses, drama between me and the rooster and overall obsession with the outdoors on social media.
In my free time I love to go hiking, wine tasting, and duck hunting on our farm. In general, I just love being outdoors and sharing my life in Oregon. I work full time as an engineer and absolutely love the challenge it brings every day Working remotely has given me so much freedom and flexibility to travel and meet fellow western creators around the country Don't be a stranger now and be sure to say hello over on my page

Meet Paige Stout
Hey y’all! My name is Paige Stout and I’m from Weatherford, TX. I was born into the western lifestyle as I was raised on the rodeo trail. From a young age I began helping with the then family hobby of raising bucking bulls. That hobby quickly turned into a full time business as I took the lead and began hauling bulls professionally on the Professional Bull Riders tour Alongside my mom and dad, we raised and hauled some of the top bucking bulls in the country coast to coast.
In between raising and hauling bulls, I also earned my nursing degree. I’ve been a Registered Nurse for almost 8 years now. I feel honored that I get the best of both worlds getting to incorporate my passion for animals with the bulls we raise, as well as my dedication to helping people in my nursing career
The western lifestyle has always and will always be close to my heart. I believe it’s important to pass on the morals and values instilled within the western lifestyle for future generations. Western fashion is a fun way to not only express your individuality and uniqueness, but also a way to keep the western way of life alive.
