The United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals can help guide our industry to impact thr world for good, says April Waterston

The United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are designed to achieve a sustainable world 'for all'. The goals are: No Poverty; Zero Hunger; Good Health and Well-being; Quality Education; Gender Equality; Clean Water and Sanitation; Affordable and Clean Energy; Decent Work and Economic Growth; Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; Reduced Inequality; Sustainable Cities and Communities; Responsible Consumption and Production; Climate Action; Life Below Water; Life on Land; Peace and Justice Strong Institutions, and Partnerships to achieve the Goals.

Around Quality Education, it points out that four million students travel to study abroad each year, many by air.

One airline considering the goals is Etihad. In summer 2021, Etihad became the first airline to sign an agreement with the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme. The UNV supports volunteering globally and aims to engage Etihad volunteers in
