With its vast forests and abundance of flora and fauna, Québec is a veritable beauty spot just over a seven-hour flight from London – and access is easy!

There are direct daily flights to Montréal, double-daily in the summer months as well a once-a-week direct flight to Québec City with Air Transat from May-September.

Québec is mild and humid in summer. Many free summer festivals take place in Montréal and Québec City, while later in the year the province turns into a winter wonderland.

Travellers can travel between both cities by car or with VIA Rail in around three hours.

What’s on in 2023

In 2023 the Château Frontenac, the most photographed hotel in the world, celebrates its 130th birthday. Elsewhere, festivals and events will energise the whole of the province, and from June visitors can discover the mountain of the Massif de Charlevoix on a nocturnal mountainside carousel. •
