We live in an era of global hegemony held by capitalist powers who have the right to set the rules, and we have to accept it whether we agree with it or not. Time and again we have seen the hegemonic tactics of capitalism, praised by some, deplored by others. Personal Work Instructor: Xueyi.Sun Individual Jan. 2021 - Apr. 2021 Location: Jiaxing, China “A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty. ” - Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill The COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating to all of humanity. In China, where the epidemic first broke out, the government imposed strict control and lockdown policies. This leads to People's Daily lives being locked into the community. As a result, the weakness of China's vast number of aging communities are exposed. These old communities have common characteristics, cramped public space, lack of green space, and overcrowded circulation... This is important for the daily life of residents especially during the epidemic. We must renovate these old communities to improve the quality of living and better prepare for the normalization of the epidemic. I tried to use the melody of Beethoven's pastoral symphony to generate space and transform the rhythm of music into the change of architectural space. Different movements will lead to completely different spatial shapes due to different rhythms. Using specific logic and sequence to arrange, and after adjustment can effectively fit the original old residential building side facade.

M. Pei In the past 30 years, China's urbanization has been among the fastest in the world, but the rapid process has led to the unitary form of many water Spaces in cities. Suzhou is the 'Venice of the East' with abundant water resources, and the relationship between people and the water space of the local Yangcheng Lake has always been interdependent. However, it is difficult to see the original convenient space on the bank of the river today, only the rigid embankment. This project attempts to test a more natural and fluid boundary between water space and land on the present Yangcheng Lake peninsula in Suzhou. At the same time, the combination of the sunken rowing club under the wave-shaped roof and the original bicycle path creates a place for citizens to relax, exercise and get close to nature.

“ The so-called ‘travel’ is the process of getting out of the inertia of daily life and having a deep thinking process. It is the process of having a conversation with yourself. ” - Tadao Ando For the house, for the car, for the money; For marriage, for love, for children; Oil prices, meat prices, personal income taxes... Faced with many choices and concerns, people struggle and puzzle between rationality and sensibility, desire and restraint, moral adherence and lack, dream and reality... Gnawing at the delicate nerves of urban ninjas. Creating a series of "Urban Syndrome". The sound of the ocean and the smell of the forest have long been forgotten by people living under the pressure of big cities. Also forgotten is Lady Emily's Tower, perched on a cliff in north Wales. I use the form of digging down the cave to create a wilderness hikers' camp, in response to the famous Tan-yr-Ogof Caves next to the site. To provide shelter for a group of urban escapees.

CONCEPT COLLAGE According to a survey, 74.1% of people are dissatisfied with the quality of life in their cities. Less than 15 percent think first-tier cities offer a good life. This project is an experimental development to give people a chance to escape the city and live in a cave. Here, people can be close to nature at any time, and forget about work and worry. For project in ARCH252, I designed the “coworking space” in central Liverpool. I divided the space into formal and informal for different users. The building features a terraced atrium with vertical visual continuity. It is the office mode scene adapted to the post-epidemic era.
