PARADAI Luxury city hotel Sathorn @Bangkok, Thailand Studio Project l Asst. Prof. Puangpet Rattanarama Design concept : BANGKOK City of Angels, Great city of Immortals, Mangnificent city of Nine gems, Seat of the king, City of Royal palace, Home of Gods incarnate, Erected by Visvakarman at Indra’s behast. Since our project is located in Sathorn, the economic, tourism and residential district in the heart of Bangkok, it is a prime destination for tourists around the world. There are beautiful temples, palaces that are important landmarks, many amenities until someone said Bangkok is the city of heaven. This hotel therefore has a concept of Paradai, which is heaven. The hotel provides an atmosphere of luxury and calmness to the people who come to use it. It was like entering a different land in heaven, hiding from the bustle of the big city. Bring heaven according to the Buddhist principles to be used in conjunction with various Thai elements combined together to create Paradai luxury hotel, new and impressive experience for the users. When luxury meet serenity. Bringing Thai jewelry, goldware and tiles ornament for luxury and simplify for modernity. Creating spaces that are elegant but still calm and relaxing.

Prof. Dr. nuchnapang kaewnil Design concept : MOON From the main concept of KMITL developement process, Beyond the limit. We therefore bring the concept to interpret as a human discovery for the new things. This working scope is on 2nd floor. 2nd step, the next step from exploring the world, Is to explore the moon. There are a lot of existing function to redesign such as co - working space, movie, game zone. Color tones and materials have been characterized from the surface of the moon, including the nature of the moonlight. The appearance and materials of the furniture are also inspired by the character of Apollo 11. Which is the first spacecraft that has landed on the moon by NASA. With a design that conveys a forward-thinking human discovery and innovative image, users are motivated to learn, work, searching for being the discoverer of things in the future, as well.

Prof. Puangpet Rattanarama Design concept : HIDE & SEEK The building will have a central platform as a platform to support vertical transition. And there are three parts of the same size that are inserted around the main building in various levels from bottom to top. These are the knowledge areas of wildlife. And also show the problems that occur with those wild animals. The area that is inserted will be the main meaning point that this place needs to be told. In which visitors have to walk up from the center and stop at each level indefinitely to learn about animals and becoming increasingly aware of wildlife problems at each level. The project was designed to match the concept of hiding in an animal observatory tower and seeking not only animal living but also the hidden problems that have been told through a small set of exhibits.

In each important room of each level. There will be models of wildlife in the area around. To show the characteristics of wildlife through a three - dimensional model. Which can be show more clearly than two - dimensional in the general information signs that have existed. It’s also reflects the problems of wildlife that they are facing. By making the sculpture with only half the details of the animal for study. The other half will be debris from plastic bags in the park that make up the remaining forms of the animal. This sculpture will cause more attention to wildlife. Both because they want to know the complete characteristics of wildlife and aware of the dangers of humans that cause wildlife to face waste causing many deaths.

The thing that shows the garbage problem in that park is everywhere in the building. Which shows through the materials chosen for the main structure. That is eco-board generated from recyclable waste in the park. This make everyone to be aware of the garbage problem in the park immediately upon entering this building. There are many benefits of this type of material which is suitable for this building. Those benefits are waterproof, shockproof, fire-retardant, keep cold, prevent heat, uv reflection. Also absorbs sound which is very suitable for the behavior of spotting animals in the building.

Waste utilization. Aside from helping to get rid of it. Also helps to save the lives of wildlife. This method is a solution to the problem. In which people must not litter in the forest. Everyone should throw the garbage into the right place for the benefit. People in the community and wildlife can live together sustainably.

BAAN S U K Traditional Thai House @Saraburi, Thailand Studio project Design concept : SUK ( serinity, delight ) This house is designed for a retired couple who want to live in peace. They like to grow vegetables, gardening, and live sufficiently. They want a contemporary Thai style house that can live two people together and can accommodate the occasional visitor. The owner of the house wanted a Buddha room because he was very admire to Buddhism and enjoyed meditation. What they like the most is the trees. The design therefore thinks of the position of the tree a lot. Every position has its own benefits, such as clearing the entrances, setting priorities of the space, creating interesting contradictions with architecture. And give shade throughout the land. This house was designed with a detailed thought on the placement of the rooms for the comfort of living and the privacy of the homeowners. Take advantage of the constant wind blowing through the land for a comfortable environment. And solve the problem of sunny in the open with large trees Make it more comfortable.

C H E S S PAR K Community park for pandemic situation @Charoenkrung, Bangkok, Thailand Asia Young Designer Awards 2020 l Prof. Worapong Manupipatpong Design concept : CHESS The design of this project was thought to be a public space for people in the community under the epidemic situation. The layout of the area is thought to allow people to be able to live together at an appropriate distance to prevent accidental transmission. Activities within the park are simple. For public peace and prevent personal contact Including no equipment that may be an intermediary for the spread. For example, walking, tai chi, working, talking, relaxing. This area is also designed to be versatile to support various activities after the epidemic crisis is over. In order to continue to be a park for neighbour Which helps reduce traffic congestion and increase green space.

In the Covid-19 crisis, problems arose. One of them is the problem of having to stay at home to reduce the risk of disease transmission. Problems with detention are often physical and mental problems. People become stressed, bored, their health weakens. And does not interact with people in society.

The design is thought to represent spacing that people are easy to understand and will enjoy and respect their own rules of space. An interesting substitute is a chessboard that rule is that it must not go into the same square or be out of the game. This will help people visualize the main uses of this area.

In which the walkway will cycle in a clockwise direction which will walk in the same direction, preventing the opposite counterpart Including entrances and exits are separated for the same reason. The pathway has two lanes to support walking through each other.

The work area is raised to separate from pathway. The stairs will be assimilated with the bleacher form. On the way there will be a working room. By alternating sides to allow walking to find nature on the other side of the building Including increasing the visual space to see other people as well. In which the room will use glass installed on both sides. The other two sides will be opened for entrance and ventilation. The furniture designed to be combined with the main structure.

Until it‘s becoming like a bleacher that can co-living in your own step, able to walk for legs exercise and can also sit in this area. Moving the step slabs up also makes the pavilion roof too. This area became an interesting design based on functions for supporting people in the epidemic crisis.

Pavillion Inside the pavilion is a sitting and working area, with a variety of seating including sitting on a lower step, which is considered to prevent touching each other while walking and sitting here. The seat is designed to reduce the density of the vertical columns, which are the main structure of the pavilion roof.

central building l 1st floor

Many of the elements here are designed to have a circular form that fits the building. The furniture and ceiling lines help to emphasize the form and corridors within the building. There are more architectural tools being used in the design to show more architectures and create an identity for the project. The first floor texture of this building uses the same materials as the exterior to connect the exterior to the interior so it doesn't feel too alienated and makes it look friendly and accessible.

local exhibition

Exhibition counter & local exhibition This area is for purchasing tickets to view the main exhibitions. There is a local exhibition on this floor that is free to enter. The local exhibition will be a permanent show on the district's architecture theme, which aims to give people the appreciation of the architecture in the district more and not allowing the building to deteriorate over time.

Main exhibition This exhibition space is a temporary exhibition that changes the topic every 3 months to bring the contents of architecture around the world to present to Thai people to understand and see the value of architecture more. The interior design is simple and makes the information plates and architectural models stand out with the lighting. In addition, there are also some architectural simulations of that style to be added to give people more insight than just looking at photographs.

Resource center Architectural elements have been used a lot in the space of this building. Most of the furniture was reimagined and redesigned under a scaffold structure. The LED lighting that illuminates most of the area is made up of a steel foot ruler. Some pieces of furniture is famous architects' masterpieces. The multi purpose stair in the middle was built on the need to connect the space and the meaning of the two floors, that is, it is a place where you can sit, work and read, and use up and down passageways as well.

relaxing space

Co - maker space The upper floor is mainly the working area, which is designed to suit the behaviour of the architect's work processes such as design, drawing, computer visualization, model making with paper and Balsa cutting or with lego to save resources. The void ceiling brings natural light from the outside into both floors of the interior. On this floor, the lighting from both natural and artificial light is placed alternating with the solid ceiling creates an interesting volume of light and distinctive feature in every space.

76 Exterior

The contrast of the two forms of the building made the paper-roll building stand out and became a landmark of the project, creating memories for those passing by at the intersection. The materials used also represent modern architecture in local architecture pattern. The project label has inserted a drawing paper gimmick for indicating an architect image.

The front courtyard can serve as a showcase for small architectural designs for architects, where they can take turns to design once a year to spur more interest in architecture to people.
