Leave “I’m Fine” in the Past Sanctuary reinforces why you must THRIVE today, tomorrow and forever

After many cancellations, rescheduling and relocating due to the pandemic, we finally welcomed an intimate group of ladies to The Mansion on Nov. 5. As Thursday approached, the ladies arrived one-by-one at the Scottsdale, Arizona Mansion. They come from New Jersey, Atlanta and, of course, Arizona. We know everyone left re-energized, fueled with intentions, commitment to growth and well-connected. Let’s explain how they got there.

Day 1

Thursday evening featured a scrumptious dinner, prepared by our very own Vegan Chef, Frances Graham of Nourish’d Culinary. Everyone got acquainted and spent the evening sharing powerful stories and why they attended. This connected the group, as they dug deeper into who they are and how they became the amazing people they are today. The evening ended with gift bags filled with beautiful gifts from our many sponsors (Thank you again sponsors).

Day 2

On Friday morning, our group was led through an energizing yoga session with Vanessa Siren of Siren Yoga. Everyone had their bodies and minds revitalized so they could tackle the day’s workshops. In addition, as is the custom every morning, guests were treated to a fresh vegan breakfast, which included stories from Frances on her struggles before becoming a vegan. She provided cooking advice, as well as insights on why eating healthier can boost your brain function, stamina and success.

Friday also saw the group dig deeper into the “why” of all of the roadblocks that may have existed. Working hard to acknowledge the blocks, the workshops went well into the evening. The group was able to sprinkle in “Hot Seats” to uncover hidden beliefs and reveal little gems that may have been hiding from the world.

Day 3

Saturday was set aside to build on everything unraveled from the day before. It was a day to plan next steps, heal, bask in “me” time and serve others. The day started with a completely different style of yoga led by Vanessa. The session featured meditation and deep stretching, which helped connect the group to their inner self and release tension.

Three Point Wellness’ Stephanie and Caitlyn joined the group in the afternoon to provide massages. The rest of the day was spent poolside, including sauna care and hot tub soaking. In addition, Lead Up co-facilitator Julie Jones led the group in creating Sunshine Jars for the OCJ Foundation. The jars are an inspiration for workers from the group/foster homes. The day ended with all the ladies dressing in white to symbolize their clean canvas. Dinner included a family-style Italian meal and some late night dancing, including an impromptu dance party.

Event Sponsors Day 4

On the final day, Vanessa started the group with yoga, including a healing yoga/meditation session with cucumbers and essential oil clothes. The session helped solidify all the learning, growing and transformations the group experience over the weekend. As the Sanctuary came to a close, each attendee set intentions, which they will be held accountable for over the next four weeks of post-group coaching.

How to write a captivating short promotional biography

Iwas born with a pen in my hand. From the time I was 11, I declared that I would become a sportswriter, and believe me, at that point, there were no women sportswriters. But writing came easy to me, and before I was 22, I was at the Detroit Free Press, on the front pages of the Los Angeles Times, at the Associated Press and The Washington Post.

I used my writing skills to build one of the largest sports/entertainment PR firms in the country, and then wrote two best-selling personal growth books, the last of which was awarded the “Best Spiritual Book of the Year” at the International New Age Trade Show. Today, I write pitches that get authors and leaders booked on thousands of radio shows and podcasts.

Writing has been my ticket to success, my intuitive craft. But I know that the ease and passion for writing does not come easily for other people. Most struggle with writer’s block on even the simplest projects. “Where do I start? What do I say? What do I leave in? Leave out? By Jackie Lapin

In today’s world, you need every edge to attract clients— wherever that may be—including virtual and in-person, live speaking events, webinars, podcasts, radio shows, summits, videocast, and more.

How do I make it flow so it reads better? How do I make it impactful?”

Indeed, there is a lot at stake.

In today’s world, you need every edge to attract clients—wherever that may be—including virtual and in-person, live speaking events, webinars, podcasts, radio shows, summits, videocast, and more.

As a leader, author, entrepreneur, coach or expert, your success at attracting clients is directly correlated with how much visibility you have within the communities of people assembled in a room, virtual conference or listening to a podcast.

But the decision-makers who book presenters or interviews are notoriously overworked and besieged by candidates for their limited slots.

How in the world do you stand out?

The answer is a powerful short biography, which can establish you as the star you are and motivate someone to choose you.

You will use it in your speaker onesheet, speaker introductions, webinars, summits, podcast introduction sheets, and more. They will help you get booked or impress the audiences with your expertise and accomplishments

How do you get this essential life-summing up biography into a few paragraphs to resonate with bookers and make them feel you’re the right person to introduce to their audience? Or, how do bookers believe you’re the right person to get an audience eager to learn from your track record?

Let me help take the intimidation factor out of writing your impactful, concise and compelling biography

If you are pondering how many ways you might mess this up, let me come to your rescue with three simple tips that should make things easy.

Before you start, remember that you’re writing in the third person, so you can detach from any reluctance to brag about yourself. This is not the time to be humble. Use powerful adjectives and active verbs. And do not write every sentence starting with your name; alternate using introductory clauses. Write it as if you’re summarizing the exciting career of someone you admire.

Here are you tips:

Tip #1

In the first paragraph, answer the questions, “What’s the benefit you bring to this audience? Why you? What will be the outcome for the audience? How specifically will their lives, businesses and mindsets improve? What’s different about you than everyone else in your genre?” While you may pepper other information in this first graph, this must be your core message.

Tip #2

In the second paragraph, touch on what you have done—things that will impress the decision-maker and the audience. What are your Top 3 results-driven business successes (and for personal growth and wellness leaders, these successes mean your Top 3 achievements with clients—individually, collectively or community-wide.) Do you have a program that speaks to this?

Tip #3

In the third and any succeeding paragraphs, roll out your supporting credentials, books and achievements. Education, certifications, clients you have served, places you have spoken, media that have featured you, awards you have won, celebrities you have worked with, etc.

Follow these simple guidelines and you’ll have a stellar short biography, usable in dozens of places.
