With business booming, there arose a need to service the pools that Gary Pools was building. A Gary Pools service department was opened in 1956. Soon after in 1960, a store was opened to meet the customer’s pool needs selling supplies and maintenance equipment. Today, Gary Pools continues to be a full-service pool company, offering everything from building, remodeling, service/cleaning, warranty and repairs.

When Leif Zars decided to retire at the age of 94, his son, Leif Zars II took ownership of Gary Pools. Having grown up in the pool industry, Leif learned the art of building a quality pool from his father. With a degree in software engineering and a passion for software development, Leif transitioned from engineer to business owner. Since taking ownership, he has leveraged his background in technology and implemented many systems to aid in business development.

Pete Herrera, General Manager of Gary Pools, has been with the company for thirteen years and knows first-hand the many benefits of building a Gary Pool. “With the best pool comes the best reputation and the most included options.
