Investing in the most sought after genetics in the beef seedstock business in order to contribute to our customers’ growth and success has been our priority at Canadian Sires. Each year, we have taken an aggressive approach to source top of the line genetics that will escalate the marketability, and overall success of our customers’ programs. It has been rewarding to witness firsthand the positive results that our customers’ have had by using Canadian Sires genetics; this fuels us to continue to source elite sires. No matter the breed, we acquire new bulls based on the same critical selection plan in order to take the guess work out of it for our customers. We don’t source bulls that are out of the flavour of the week; genetics that have had no homework done on them. Every bull we implement into this directory has had the most critical selection process guaranteeing foot quality, structural soundness and udder quality from leading cow families that are backing them to ensure quality

progeny are produced. We work hard to source new and exciting genetics that our customers can build their program around. This year’s line-up will not disappoint. Our offering has been ramped up in the Angus division, and we are excited with the shear quality we have assembled. Many of the new Black Angus bulls carry outcross genetics from streamline pedigrees, yet they are still proven and productive. With Bank Note no longer available on the open market in Canada due to short supply of CSS semen, we have acquired two sons to carry on his legacy. They have one of the greatest cow families in the breed backing them in order to take the place of Bank Note, while stepping it up to the next level. Style, The Show and Pendleton have been added to appeal to those that have show ring aspirations, while still possessing the depth of quality to implement into a program to increase production. for many years, known as one of the great bulls in the industry to increase maternal production as his results tell the tale. Many time champion, Silver Lining is now on the open market, and as we hear great reports of his calves we feel this is a big time herd bull to build around for the future. Integrity represents the maternal strength that we thrive on acquiring, and is out of one of the great cows in the Angus breed. Sky High, Aviator and Motive return in our offering as they have been a great representation of the success of utilizing Canadian Sires bulls, while their progeny have topped sales north and south of the border. Much like the Black Angus section, we have traveled countless miles to add to the Red Angus selection; we are serious about offering bulls to elevate any cow herd. The three bulls on offer will continue to be in high demand for many years and their production record in their early lives is very strong. Renown’s first calf crop has been flat out remarkable with sons and daughters being equally as impressive. His first daughters to sell have topped every sale they were in, all while being the high averaging sire group in the Red Angus breed. Authentic has done a remarkable job at W Sunrise, Y Coulee and U2. It took some arm-bending in order to allow us to be able to offer his genetics to the open market. His sons have topped each respected bull sale, and commercial cattleman fight over them as the sire group’s consistency is deep. New and fresh genetics out of one of the leading bloodlines in the breed has resulted in the addition of Red

Eliminator. This bull has the cow family backing him, and a great pedigree that is increasing his popularity. We feel his sons will be strong, while you will want to keep every daughter for the replacement pen to build a program around. With the owners sharing genetics on these three bulls, we feel it will only enhance, and make this popular breed even stronger moving forward. We have a lengthy offering of Simmental bulls, and we BELIEVE in them. Whether it is fullblood, red or black genetics that you seek, we truly have put the effort into sourcing the best bulls in the business. We welcome “Stuey” to the Full Fleckvieh division as his sons have been among the strongest in the Simmental breed and are highly sought after. We have put an unreal amount of resources into stacking up the red division and the five new bulls each have great merit that they carry with them. Westcott has proven that he is a great one in the making, and we don’t often throw around the “great one” phrase. His first daughters commanding $55,000 - $55,000 - $33,000 is impressive, but what may be equally as impressive is the consistency and quality of sons that we will see sell this coming spring. Rambler carries calving ease and an outcross pedigree, while being out of the very popular Sadie M166 cornerstone dam. Sleep Easy was incorporated to be utilized in the heifer pen and by adding one of the most productive cow families to the pedigree on the bottom side with the MRL donor, 836W - who is also the dam of Capone & El Tigre. Brisk has created much excitement and rightfully

so with his outcross pedigree and out of another great donor dam, KWA Ms Rock 22Z. The final addition is once again out of one of the best females in the Simmental breed, as we never overlook the power of a cow family. War Paint is a son from the outstanding RF Scream 22Z who is also the dam of the undefeated Captain Scream, whose semen averaged nearly $800/ dose. In the black section we continue to offer the great Cobra. His progeny and breeding will be offered in a memorable, feel good sale in 2018 – The Cobra Event - our follow-up to the Motive Event.
