PERROT CATTLE COMPANY

from WELCOME

Welcome to our 8th Annual Bull and Female sale to be held on our farm on Saturday, March 22nd, at 1pm.

We invite you to join us on sale day to look at the cattle and enjoy some hospitality. Our offering this year includes the very first set of bulls to be sold off the past 2022 Semex Presidents Classic Champion and Agribition Division Champion in Perrots’s Moonshine 7K, as well as bulls off sires that were limited and rare semen packs. All fresh and new genetics as well as some tried and true sires. Our goal every year is to have on offer a set of cattle that are just a bit better than the year before, so that we in turn can help our valued customers enhance their own cattle base.

With cattle at low numbers and all time high prices, it’s the perfect time to place some value on the best herd bull you can afford. This year, a few market animals sold can pay for a bull, and ultimately a higher performing bull can pay dividends by adding more profit in your pocket. A good quality bull is something that should never be overlooked as they can change the whole dynamic of your calf crop and the future of your herd. We will work with you to ensure you have a bull that suits your needs and fits your budget, because ultimately your success becomes our success.

As always, we are blessed to have the circle of family and friends to help us with this sale every year. We have Trent Walls to help with clipping on picture, video, and sale day. Sharlene Freitag for her mouth watering Sin Buns and coffee on sale morning, Mike and Margaret Ricard for a delicious sale day lunch, DLMS for video footage, Maddy Lafrentz for taking bull photos and her extreme talent and patience in catalogue design, the talented Colonel Ryan Dorran for being our super talented auctioneer, long time friend Mark Stock as Ringman, and our very good friends at Bohrson Marketing for managing this sale, as they are a group that is as personable and fun as you will find, and they are committed to helping you find the cattle you are seeking. These are my people, and I couldn’t do it without them.

Last, but certainly not least is our customers. We are very fortunate to have an overwhelming repeat customer base. Within that group, we have gained some valuable friendships. Please accept our sincere Thanks and respect for being here with us in person, online, or in spirit. We are so thankful for the trust you have put forth in our program, and look forward to visiting with you on March 22nd!!!

from WELCOME BOHRSON MARKETING

One of the most enjoyable sales to attend each and every year for our team is the Perrot Cattle Co Sale as the cattle are incredible and the people are better. Greg, Anna Marie and the kids are truly some of the most genuine and good hearted people in the entire industry. If you have never met the Perrot family, I encourage you to do so as they are the salt of the earth people who take great pride in their family values and cattle that surround them.

This set of bulls and heifers is outstanding and certainly worth the trip to Alameda as the consistency in the pen is always impressive. They excel on cattle with hair, doabilty, style, muscle, dimension and have a truly good look in a sound package. The bulls are masculine and the females on offer are feminine and pretty in their type, just the way it should be. They are well known for their Angus program and rightfully so, it is extremely impressive and built on a beautiful cowherd. But Anna has snuck a bit of Simmental into the program and there are some special SimAngus in the sale that they campaigned and won many banner with last fall. No matter what you seek, there is quality here for everyone no matter the budget and the product is desirable.

Plan to be with us on March 22 at the beautiful Perrot Farm for a set of sale cattle designed for ROI and profitably for you, their valued customer. If you can’t join us sale day, feel free to reach out to the Perrot’s or any of the sales staff to represent you needs in a professional manner. The cattle are legit and the people backing them make buying a Perrot bull or female well worth the experience.

PINNACLE 42M

: ANNA 42M : JANUARY 24 2024

We are so excited to offer the first progeny of Perrots Moonshine 7k to sell. The sire, Moonshine 7K was the 2022 Semex Presidents Classic All Breeds Champion at Agribition as well as Senior Bull Calf Champion that same year where he garnered the attention of cattlemen and women of all breeds. To say we are happy with his offspring would be an understatement. This group of Moonshine bulls are a testament to his true breeding ability to add performance and power, and Perrots Pinnacle 42M is a perfect example of that. Pinnacle has been outstanding from very young age and is a son of one of my favorite females born on the farm in 2021. The dam, Nina 44J stems back to Hoover No Doubt and Density. She is a sweet fronted, deep bodied cow with exceptional udder quality. On an individual basis, Pinnacle is wide bodied, strong topped, with depth of body and added muscle expression. Mark Walters purchased this bulls popular maternal brother last year, and with Pinnacle being among the first of the Moonshine offering, I think he could have the ability to elevate a herd.

of lots 1-7

Sire
Perrot Moonshine 7K
Maternal Brother Perrot Victory 3L

This big beefy bull is sure to add pounds and performance to your calf crop. His sire Perrots Moonshine 7K has the ability to add power, natural muscling, and a super disposition. His Firebrand dam was one of Scott Bohrsons picks when he toured through the bred heifers a few years ago. With the granddam being a Density daughter from the prolific Bar-E-L herd, there is alot to be admired in his pedigree. Moonlight 27M is an extremely, deep sided bull with a long quarter and an abundance of hair. When used on cows he should be able to add payweight to your calf crop, and the females should be highly productive with enviable udder quality.

Paternal Grandsire

Al Capone 2M has been one of my personal favorites all along, and I think a bull that needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. His dam was a fall born embryo making this her first calf, and I think she outdid herself. Al Capone is a low birth weight bull who is phenotypically attractive in his structure and skull and carries that extra muscling and rib shape, while maintaining a strong EPD tabulation. The Grand dam is also the dam of the feature Panther 24M son selling in this sale, so the quality runs deep. This quiet natured bull is a true performance type bull that has the ability to add pounds and profit to your end game. Get in on the ground floor of the first Perrot Moonshine bulls to sell!

Maternal Grandsire

Conley South Point 8362

Moonlight 18M is a moderate framed, super stylish Moonshine son that in many ways reminds me so much of his sire with his extra depth of body, strength of top, scrotal development and extra muscling. The maternal side of this pedigree has been strong for us, and with Moonlight being among the first set of sons to sell off this sire group, I believe he holds alot of value in his type and kind. Take note, this bull has a small white scar on his right eye from a previous eye infection last summer, but guaranteed it won’t affect his libido. Moonlight 18M’s eye catching style and maternal background could help him reshape a cowherd.

This Moonshine son is off a direct Density daughter that continually raises us progeny that rise to the top, with past sons selling to Gervais Farms, Twisted T, and Darryl and Cheryl Harrison. A smooth made bull with a very attractive front end and modest birthweight, from a very predictable cow family. If you are a pedigree buff, there is loads of maternal power in his pedigree including Density, Final Answer, Rainfall, and Oscar 711. Some of the Angus breeds all time greats wrapped up in one package.

A younger modest Birthweight Moonshine son off a first calf heifer, where the dam was also my daughters past 4H heifer where she was Champion Heifer at the Achievement Day, and Reserve Champion at the Regional. Moonlight 73M is a moderate, smooth shouldered bull that carries some natural muscling and a good disposition.

If you are wanting a lower birth weight Moonshine son, this may be your guy. Moonlit 51M is a stout made gentle fella that exhibits eye appeal and added stoutness throughout. A bull that has the ability to sire highly marketable calves that are efficient and easy to manage. Moonlit 51M ‘s maternal sister was sold to our repeat buyers and friends at Brandy Lane Cattle in last years sale.

Maternal Sister Perrot Sarah 10L

A sale highlight in Perrots Panther 24M. This herd sire prospect was purchased as an embryo out of the famed PM Tibbie 216’15 cow. A dam that currently has 42 registered progeny. I first seen Tibbie 216’15 when she was offered for sale at the prestigous Rose Bowl sale, I was in awe of this capacious, bold ribbed cow that carried a near perfect udder and ideal Angus head and type. I was excited to nab 3 embryos to which I received a bull and a retained heifer. Panther is an outcross top selling bull from the famed Schaff program and his sons will just be hitting the market this spring. Panther is a wide based bull with soundness, moderate Birth weight, and top of the breed performance. The Panthers we have now both in heifers and bulls are rising to the top. On an individual basis, Perrots Panther 24M is powerful, sound, and carries extra

combined with a really nice

see where he goes and his future production.

A bull we are excited

Perrots Panther 29M has been stamped as another top pick in this group of bulls, and one that we seriously considered taking out to show last fall, just ran short on time. His dam raised one of our feature and high selling bulls last year to Richard VanSprundel, and the granddam has been designated as an ‘Elite’ dam in the Angus Association since 2023. Blackbird 67H currently is raising another one of our top bull calves this spring, and is well on her way to becoming one of our top brood matrons. The sire of this bull is sure to gain popularity this Spring as his first progeny hit the market. They are balanced and attractive with soundness and style. Perrots Panther 29M is a bull that we feel can add alot of value both paternally and maternally.

Perrots Pistol 28M is another stellar son of the outstanding SAV Panther outcross sire. Pistol is a smooth made, gentle natured bull that is long made with added muscle shape and substance. His dam is a youthful looking 10 year old cow who is massive barreled and attractive, and her popular son sold through last years sale to Zac Martens. The 40C dam has been a stellar producer for us, and she has gained ‘Premier’ Status within the Canadian Angus Association since 2022. With a pedigree that boasts an Elite dam and a performance powerhouse sire, this bull could really amp up your herd both visually and genetically.

Maternal Brother Perrot King Kong 22L
Full Sister to Sire SAV Blackcap May 9881

Perrots Best Answer 47M is an extremely attractive calving ease sire. A bull that carries a smooth muscle pattern, and is a free moving well designed bull off a moderate framed, attractive SAV Angus Beef daughter that raised a popular heifer calf that sold in last years sale to Denny Golden. These Best Answer bulls are rare in their kind, as they are low Birth weight and high performance type cattle that maintain depth and added bone. Perrots Best Answer 47M is a true type Angus bull that you will want to retain all the females out of.

Perrots Best Answer 26M should catch some attention on sale day. This guy would be one of Greg’s personal picks for his exceptional foot quality, stoutness, and eye appeal. Not only is he a calving ease option with an actual BW of 72lbs, he boasts a solid set of numbers. The sire has some very notable bulls in his pedigree such as SAV Final Answer, and Coleman Bravo 6313. This bull should have the ability to moderate birth weights, and excel at performance with added phenotype. Adding to his appeal is that he is just a heifers first calf, and even though we lost the grandam at a very young age, she was Talia’s Grand Champion heifer at the Alameda 4H Regional in 2021. I think this is a high quality bull with a great future.

Maternal Grandsire

This young breeding bull is just a heifers first calf, and I think she did an exceptional job raising this masculine, deep sided, soggy bull. Perrots Best Answer 1M maintains low birth weight numbers while combining milk numbers that are in the top 5% of the breed. The Best Answer cattle are gaining traction for their calving ease and performance combination.

LOTS 14-16 A trio of Metallica sons that will be the first we have offered off this outcross sire. Peak Dot Metallica 521K was purchased as one of the high selling bulls at their sale when I received a phone call from the Bohrson Marketing group saying this younger born bull in the Peak Dot offering would be as close to my calving ease unicorn that they could find. Peak Dot Metallica is a sure fire calving ease bull, and equally important is the foot quality he possesses is probably one of the best we have ever used. When we purchased the sire, his 50K numbers boasted him as being top 1% for both weaning and yearling weights, top 8% for marbling, top 3% for calving ease and top 15% for REA. On an individual basis, these bulls are all off of first time mamas, and boast solid EPD profiles. If you are in need of a calving ease bull that can also add

ROSE 11E

ROSE 251C

LOTS 17-19 This trio of bulls are sired by Scheifelbein Showman 338, whose highly sought after semen sold for an outstanding $1850 per semen straw. Showman has the ability to add a good disposition with extra performance and eye appeal. On their own right, these 3 paternal brothers exude power, strong phenotype, length and muscle while keeping modest birth weights. These brothers carry some strong numbers, and I think they have unlimited potential. With regards to their dams, the Bar-E-L Rose 11E cow stems from our good friends in the Longshore family. She was a high selling female purchase in one of their sales, and unfortunately we lost Rose 11E, but she raised us the high selling bull in 2021 to South Shadow Angus, as well as a full flush mate to the 43M bull was the high seller in our 2023 sale to Glendar Angus. The SAV Enchantress 7015 cow was purchased through the Schaff Angus Valley Sale, and her pedigree goes back to Harvestor and Resource. This cow exudes power and performance and boasted a stellar EPD profile. Enchantress also raise a past 4H Champion here for my daughter. The dam of the 59M bull is the Blackbird 25E cow, who is another SAV Angus Beef daughter. Blackbird 25E has been admired for her deep sided angular type body with true Angus Character. I think this is a very solid and eye appealing group of Showman sons with lots of potential.

Sire of lots 17, 18 & 19 Schiefelbein Showman 338

Maternal Brother Perrot Fernando 100K

Perrots Tank 12M is our only LVVF Tanker son in the sale. LVVF Tanker is a Semex sire that we used due to his outcross pedigree and top ranking EPDs. A sire that was highlighted for high performance, expressive muscling, large scrotal and foot quality. Tank is a picturesque son off of a real good Blackbird cow that stems back to Coleman Bravo. He is a small birth weight bull that is in the top 15% of the breed for calving ease and top 10% for yearling weight.

FIREBRAND 23M 21

Perrots Firebrand 23M is a stylish and stout young bull with expressive muscle shape and a quality hair coat, He is the only Brooking Firebrand son in the sale, and he is a dandy. Firebrand has sired a multitude of champions and top producing progeny worldwide. On the dams side, the Blackbird 63G cow is a really nice made LD Capitalist daughter that is very angular and attractive with ideal udder structure. This spring she is raising one of our top Moonshine sons. I feel this bull has a lot to offer in terms of phenotype, muscling, hair and maternal value.

Maternal Brother Perrot Bonzai 19L
Maternal Brother Perrot

This will be the last bull to sell of ours off the good old Black Ink bull. Ink was not your typical calving ease bull. He possessed a great deal of bone with adequate frame, length, and muscle. He also had the ability to add style and hair without sacrificing performance. This guy has a little more BW than our typical Ink calves, however, I think he could be used on bigger heifers. His dam is a very solid made Motive daughter that has produced well for us.

Moonlight 87M is almost the youngest bull in this years offering, but shouldn’t be overlooked, as he still exhibits above average performance. His dam was purchased through the Brooking Female sale, and was shown successfully by Rocco as a 4H project being named Reserve Champion Female in the Alameda 4H Regional. The grand dam is the elite Brooking Beauty 333 whose production list has been phenomenal for our friends at Brooking Angus. A solid choice here in Moonlight 87M.

Perrots Gunpowder 31M is the only Percentage Simmental bull born on our farm last year, and he may be as unique of a performance bull that you will find this spring. An own son of RF Caliber, who’s progeny have dominated shows and sales the past few years, they are high performing cattle with muscle, soundness and hair. The dam of Gunpowder is correct, long, good uddered, big barreled, quiet and a great producer. This dark blue roan bull has already earned a few banners when we showcased him last fall being named Champion Simmental Percentage bull at Brandon Ag-Ex, as well as Reserve Champion Simmental Percentage Bull at Agribition. In his own right, Gunpowder is a high performing bull with excellent feet, long bodied, stout hipped, great haired and proud fronted. A cool colored bull that when used on

BOOMERANG 38L

COLEMAN BRAVO 6313

COLEMAN TRIUMPH 9145

LAWSONS CHLOE C815

Perrot’s Boomerang 38L is a bull we raised and walked in our heifer pasture last summer. Genetically this bull has a stellar pedigree combining the visually stunning Grand Dam Brooking Beauty 6051, and the attractive, sound footed Coleman Triumph sire. Perrot’s Boomerang has an undeniable presence and offers low BW, quiet disposition, thick haircoat, depth of rib and quarter, scrotal development, and true Angus Character. We now have calves on the ground that will headline our next years sale offering. His calves are born vigorous, stout, hairy and eye appealing, and we are excited about the quality this young bull is bringing to our program going forward.

Females LOTS25-30

Perrots Ladybug 54M has always caught my eye ever since she was a baby. This heifer was weaned later as she was in a different pasture, but I think she has come along nicely. Ladybug possesses extra length of body, with added extension through her front end, adequate muscling, style and hair, and in my mind looks like she will be highly maternal and productive. The dam was our pick of the heifer calves from the Com As U R herd in the fall of 2021. The 118J cow is a direct SAV Rainfall 6846 daughter who’s sire gained popularity for his ability to produce progeny with elegant style, high maternal, calving ease and performance. Perrots Ladybug 54M is a heifer I am quite fond of, and think she will make a super functional cow.

BARDELLA

Perrots Bardella 16M was not intended for the sale pen as she would have been the only direct daughter of SAV Resource I could have had working in my herd. Resource himself is not new within the breed, however, his popularity due to his superb structure, foot quality, natural fleshing ability, authentic breed character and highly maternal females have stood the test of time. The dam Bardella 32H raised our high selling bull last year to repeat customer Mike Warken, and this spring she is raising another top heifer calf that will for sure be retained within our herd. This heifer is sound, easy fleshing, and attractive, and I think she has a bright future ahead of her. Please note that she has one shorter ear due to her hood getting twisted and her ear was exposed during a cold snap.

Perrots Sangria 7M is the only SAV Panther we will be selling, and if we didn’t have a group of Panther bulls to showcase and sell, this heifer likely wouldn’t be for sale. When we purchased a package of limited Panther semen through the New Years Resolution Sale, we were highly anticipating this group of outcross calves. They have exceeded our expectations, and while the bulls are masculine and stout in their design, the females are phenotypically attractive, fleshy and sound. Make sure to check out Ladybug 7M on sale day as there haven’t been many Panther daughters offered in Canada as of yet.

Perrots Blackbird 69M is our first Metallica heifer to be sold, and she is a good one. The Blackbird cow family is the most dominant female group in our herd dating back over 60 years. They are highly productive and have stood the test of time here. The new walking sire for us in Peak Dot Metallica 521K, was selected for us as a calving ease sire. Metallica 521K is a bull that possesses tremendous foot quality combined with a negative Birth weight EPD and high yearling weight, and has the ability to transmit length, depth, and hair to his offspring.

Perrots Merlot 38M is a percentage heifer that stems from a very productive cow family. In fact, Merlot 38Ms maternal sister has earned us just shy of $40,000 on her past 3 calves. This heifer is a True North daughter that is classy fronted and smooth made, and should boast a great udder. The True North offspring have done very well here, with the bulls being in demand at our sales, and the females being at the top end. I have the utmost confidence in this heifer turning into a profitable cow for her new owner.

Perrots Marleno 58M is a purebred True North Simmental daughter stemming from a cow I purchased at the R Plus Dispersal, Marlenos dam is deep bodied, sound, nice headed and excellent uddered. We have retained a Mandate daughter off this cow, and this spring, Marlenos dam calved out a stellar Blaze faced Caliber son. The True North cattle have worked very well for us here.True North was a past Agribition Champion bull, and he stamps his progeny with eye appeal and performance, and this daughter of his is long bodied, correct, and should have an ideal udder going forward.

Donation 4H

Our family is pleased to be donating this Framed Original Photo with 100% of the proceeds going back to our local Alameda 4H Beef Club. Close the gate

For this one farmer, the worries are over, lie down and rest your head,

Your time has been and struggles enough, put the tractor in the shed.

Years were not easy, many downright hard, but your faith in God transcended, Put away your tools and sleep in peace. The fences have all been mended.

You raised a fine family, worked the land well and always followed the Son, Hang up your shovel inside of the barn; your work here on earth is done.

A faith few possess led your journey through life, often a jagged and stony way,

The sun is setting, the cattle are all bedded, and here now is the end of your day.

Your love of God’s soil has passed on to your kin; the stories flow like fine wine, Wash off your work boots in the puddle left by blessed rain one final time.

You always believed that the good Lord would provide and he always had somehow, Take off your gloves and put them down, no more sweat and worry for you now.

Your labor is done, your home now is heaven, no more must you wait;

Your legacy lives on, your love of the land, and we will close the gate.
