I decided to sell a select group of open heifers all sired by our Peak Dot Franchise 389F bull. I believe all these heifers have the capability to be top producers, and all maintain solid predictable pedigrees. As a group, these heifers are moderate framed, easy doing, docile and functional. Franchise himself had the ability to add performance and muscle to his progeny while securing an attractive eye appealing profile. His bulls have been some of our top sellers in the past few years, and the females are just beginning to make their mark here.

This thick made easy going heifer should turn into a high quality cow. Her dam was purchased through the Brooking Sale, and she has been a stellar producer with her first heifer calf selling at the Rose Bowl Sale at only 6 months old for $8500 to the good folks at Brandy Lane Cattle Co. The maternal side of this family includes many prolific producers that have been past sale highlights for Com As U R at the Brooking Fall Female Sale.

Dam Come As U R Lady 924G

Pollyanna 26K’s dam was purchased from Com As U R as our choice lot, and the high selling heifer in the 2020 sale. The dam is a direct daughter of Natural Law whose progeny are highly sought after for their ability to raise females that are both attractive and highly productive. I have always liked this heifer, and think she will be a valuable addition for her new owner.

Last year one of my top picks in the bull sale was a young bull that we sold to Dusty Rose Cattle Co in Arcola. In my footnotes on that bull I mentioned that he had a very sweet full sister on the ground that I really liked. Perrots Bessie 74K is the heifer I was talking about. She is a very complete, soft made easy fleshing heifer with added eye appeal. If she turns out like her dam, she will be a super functional cow that can raise some very good calves.

Blackbird 101k

Almost a March heifer, and the youngest on offer. This Blackbird cow family originates from one of the first females my Dad ever purchased. They have the ability to produce top progeny, and this heifer is very angular, deep sided, and eye appealing in her make up. A closely related brother was one of our high selling bulls in 2021 to Ramrod Cattle.

Another Blackbird heifer off an old cow here that has served her purpose being both reliable and predictable. We have sold 4 bulls off her through our sales, and each one went to a repeat customer. There is predictability and longevity built into this female.
