INTEGRITY • HONESTY • LONGEVITY

WITH PROVEN & TRUSTED PREMIUM GENETICS

Years seem to go by fast around here! We were absolutely thrilled by the incredible turnout and interest at last year’s sale. A huge thank you to everyone who watched, bid, or attended – your interest, encouragement and support means the world to us! It truly does.

This year, we are bringing you our best and most consistent group of bulls yet. We’ve got a large offering of HF Prestige 216J sons – he really puts a stamp on his calves. These bulls are known for their exceptional muscle, length and overall performance and style. Plus, we’ve got sons from our newest bull, HF Bermuda 179J, a calving ease sire we really like. These bulls are perfect for those looking for ease of calving without compromising on quality.

Some sale highlights include SAV Bloodline brothers from our donor dam 14Y, SAV Panther son, Montana Judgement, Brooking Sooner… as well as an excellent Showman and Stunner son. Each of these bulls has been carefully selected for their trusted superior genetics and honest outstanding traits.

Once again, we’re excited to welcome Danny and Lorinda from RR Forty Angus. They’re bringing an impressive set of bulls, and we truly enjoy working with them! Their bulls are known for their strong maternal traits and excellent performance, making them a valuable addition to our sale.

This year we have changed up our feeding program. We purchased a vertical mixer, the cows now get a TMR mix instead of feeding whole bales. The result has been excellent. Our cows are more content and we feel the overall condition of the cows has improved and some of the younger females or more timid cows have an equal opportunity to get the nutrition they need.

The bulls are fed a 50/50 hay and barley silage mix. They also receive brown oats with a supplemental Bullseye pellet never exceeding 1% of their bodyweight. We feed the bulls to meet their genetic potential but not to jeopardize fertility and longevity in the future. When we make our first cut in the fall the bulls must check the most important boxes for us. They must be out of an excellent cow, have superior growth from birth to weaning, be phenotypically correct, and have the right attitude. Docility is very important to us. We encourage everyone to stop by the farm anytime to view the bullpen – the coffee is always on. If you can’t make it to the sale in person, the Bohrson Marketing team is also available for appraisals of the bulls and females, as well as Yancey Crosier from Vold Jones Vold Auction Co, who has been thru the pens and can offer his opinion on this sale offering. Last but not least, we are always thankful for Mark and the DLMS team that will be broadcasting the sale via the internet.

COLLINS GANGSTER 2447

Stunner is a superstar sire known for his impressive muscle shape, depth of body, and consistent calving ease. His maternal grandam, HF Echo 111Y, is a legend with 57 calves registered to her name. The dam of this bull is a stunning Showman daughter. Showman daughters are doing wonders for us, and the Stunner/Showman combo that works really well

COLLINS PANTHER 2406

Panther calves are the epitome of style and substance, boasting length, natural muscle expression, great foot structure, soundness, and an eye-catching presence. His dam, HF Miss Black Cap 58F, was the star pick of the Hamilton Farms heifers in 2018. To say we adore this bull is an understatement. He’s been the talk of the town all fall and winter, capturing the hearts of every visitor.

DAM: HF MISS BLACKCAP 58F
SIRE: SAV PANTHER 1906

COLLINS

Bloodline brings a powerhouse of traits to his calves, with massive volume, extreme length, expressive shape, great feet, and a gentle disposition. 14Y, a HF Tiger daughter, was one of our most cherished cows. She had excellent maternal traits, perfect feet, a perfect udder, and a perfect attitude, consistently producing some of the heaviest calves. She looked much younger and youthful than her age suggested. Both of these bulls are destined to sire magnificent calves! With the calf market ablaze these bulls are sure to be lucrative investments!

COLLINS SYNDICATE 2410

Attractive produces deep-sided calves with a moderate birth weight while still adding growth to his calves. His dam is 2247, a young Game Day female we really like. Game Day daughters have impeccable udders! Her dam is a daughter of Double A 9U, one of the original cows we purchased from the Tofteland family.

COLLINS JUDGEMENT 2431

The Montana Judgement calves were eagerly awaited, and we particularly admire this son for his exceptional foot quality, overall structural soundness, and impressive masculinity. His dam, an outstanding Brooking Vault daughter, adds to his remarkable lineage.

MONTANA JUDGEMENT 1038

Our group of passionate breeders proudly acquired the Canadian semen rights for the highly coveted Montana Judgement, a new and exciting herd sire from Montana Ranch! He boasts the renowned Atlantis and Rainfall genetics, making him a true gem in our breeding program.

COLLINS JUDGEMENT 2454

Another son sired by Montana Judgement stands out with his abundant muscle, impressive length, and substance. His dam, a larger-framed Greenwood Fireball daughter, contributes to his robust build. The Angus industry has a lot of confidence in the females off of Judgement. We also look forward to the seeing Judgement daughters and calves off these bulls.

COLLINS TIGER 2404

What we love...proven and trusted genetics, Tiger 5T, has consistently exceeded our expectations. He ranks in the top 5% for calving ease, top 1% for docility, and top 4% for milk production. 5T females are top-notch and highly sought after. This bull has loads of body shape and natural muscling.

COLLINS CHROME 2453

Showman has consistently produced some of our best calves over the past four years. With moderate birthweights and excellent growth through to weaning, every Showman calf has impressed us. The dam of this bull is 66J, a Gameday daughter out of our donor cow, 21W (a Tiger daughter). With Showman, Natural Law, and Tiger in his pedigree, this bull is a must-have. Wide-based, with abundant length and muscle, an overall robust build. He was a visitor favorite this fall.

COLLINS PRESTIGE 2441

COLLINS PRESTIGE 2457

COLLINS PRESTIGE 2458

COLLINS PRESTIGE 2459

One of our top Prestige sons this year, his full brother was a sale feature last year. His dam, 21H, is one of our favorite young cows in the herd and could easily become a donor cow in the future. This is a high-performance Prestige son that is sound structured with muscle shape and thickness. He’s a stud!

COLLINS PRESTIGE 2463

COLLINS PRESTIGE 2464

This Prestige son has some tremendous cow family strengths. His dam is a Natural Law daughter off of Greenwood’s 1424 donor cow. We have a lot of confidence in this pedigree. A real attractively-made bull with heavy muscle, extra length and an good foot.

COLLINS PRESTIGE 2465

COLLINS PRESTIGE 2467

This bull boasts layers of excellence in his pedigree. Our Greenwood Gameday bull produced females with impeccable udders. We expect this guy to turn heads in the pen on sale day. A real complete and masculine bull with exceptional body shape, volume and thickness.

COLLINS PRESTIGE 2493

This late February-born calf is set to outshine his older brothers as time goes on. A natural calf out of our Edwards, 20C donor cow, he promises to add extra length to his calves, resulting in more pounds come fall. We really like this bull!

COLLINS PRESTIGE 2494

Meet the youngest star of our sale! Despite his age, this bull is destined for greatness. His granddam, 14Y, a favourite donor cow, is the mother to Lot 7 and 14 bulls. He might be the sleeper in the pen, but don’t be fooled by his youth – he’s a good one!

COLLINS SOONER 2432

Here is a bull from our purchase from the Payne boys at the Evolution Volume 3 sale. Brooking Sooner sons are standouts. This fella will work on bigger heifers or cows. He is in the top 6% for weaning weight and yearling weight in the breed, so his calves are definitely going to have some punch to them. His High Class dam is one we love, she has a beautiful udder, sound structure, is easy doing and a fantastic temperament as well as extremely maternal.

HF PRESTIGE 216J 2224203

GREENWOOD LUCY JJP 11J 2227457

In October I was super excited and thankful to win a heifer! Thank you so very much to Bennett Ranch & Cattle Ltd. Marlow is doing fantastic and is super quiet and nice to be around, I love her very much.

SCHIEFELBEIN

I purchased Lucy as a heifer calf from Greenwood Cattle in the Evolution Volume 1 sale in 2021. The Payne’s were generous enough to bring her to Farm Fair in Edmonton where Lucy won the Senior Black Angus Heifer Champion as well as winning the Farm Fair Junior Heifer Futurity! Lucy is an exceptional-made cow, which coincides with her sire Bar S Range Boss 4002 and her dam Anderson Lucy 1373. If you are needing a calving ease bull, this guy (who I call Poppi) checks off all the boxes. Good-footed, smooth-fronted, good natural muscle and balance. He has a real unique pedigree and presents himself in a nice attractive package.

I would like to thank Tom and Lisa from Golden Oak Livestock for donating Hereford semen to all the people who won heifers! Your generosity means a lot to me, thanks again.

COLLINS ERICA OF RIO 2180 2196893 HF

Introducing our first offering of HF Bermuda calves! Wyatt and Clint took a trip down to Hamilton’s sale and both really liked Bermuda for overall structure and foot quality. If you’re in the market for a heifer bull, this guy is a fantastic option. He’s smooth-fronted, which is a highly desirable trait, and he has the potential to add some serious performance to his calves. Plus, he’s always trying to play with Anna when she’s in the pen—docility is great with a big personality.

COLLINS BERMUDA 2474

HF BERMUDA 179K 2263477

COLLINS ROSEBUD 33D 1902892

Here’s another excellent option for a calving ease bull. His dam is a Peak Dot Iron Mountain female that has been a very consistent producer for us. This bull has a softer look to him, very smooth-made, and will make an excellent sire for your heifer pen.

COLLINS BERMUDA 2479

BERMUDA 179K 2263477

An outstanding bull out of a top-notch Hamilton cow 172D, she embodies everything we look for in a cow: good foot and udder quality, highly maternal, and just a fault-free female that consistently weans an excellent calf. This bull will sire calves that are phenotypically appealing and produce daughters that will be in your herd for a long time. Longevity makes you money as well.

Selling Choice of Gable Heifers

If you know me at all, you’ll know that selling females isn’t exactly my favorite activity. These girls were supposed to be part of the Angus Collection Sale, but I managed to stop that. We finally agreed to let one go, though I’m still not thrilled about it. Somehow, Anna has 51% of the vote!

These are two exceptional females. They’re like two peas in a pod, strikingly similar in their makeup. Jayden showed me the Tibbie 51G donor cow on one of our visits to Greenwood. She’s a beautiful, tanky female, a daughter of their legendary 28Z cow. The Gable-sired calves have been as advertised: lower birthweight, smooth, stylish, and with a lot of eye appeal.

The Trefiaks were kind enough to let Faith bring 5M to their ranch, where she joined the MJT showstring for Farmfair and Agribition! Both of these females are massive and deep-ribbed, but still have a feminine, pretty front. They’re packed full of performance and power. We believe they’re going to make exceptional cows that will move your program forward. Whoever gets the last bid on sale day will have a tough choice to make!

SCHIEFELBEIN ATTRACTIVE 4565 1938699

Dam:

COLLINS CLEO 2256 2282469

JMB

This sale feature is sired by Scheifelbein Attractive who is Showman’s dad. The dam is a Fireball daughter 56K, and granddam is 17C (from the Cleo family, a Peak Dot Iron Mountain daughter). We talk about family and dam a lot when we do footnotes...family matters...quality, docility, foot quality, longevity - this always matters so much to us. This heifer is in the top 8% for weaning weight, top 6 % for yearling weight. She is a big-bodied Attractive female with lots of muscle style and femininity.

COLLINS BARBARA 2451

HF BERMUDA 179K 2263477

COLLINS BETTY 2061 2140402

Surprise - another female I really don’t want to sell. This heifer is just flat out good! Her Tiger grandam, Betty 3C, has produced numerous excellent females in our herd. She is an honest, proven, trusted female and is destined to be a great cow. She catches your eye in the pen and has a real stunning look to her, strong maternal value, good foot, balance and depth. Even as a calf we recognized her exceptional quality. “A foundational female” that sums up 75M perfectly!

Family

is everything!

2024 was a fantastic year for us!

Our youngest child, Faith, graduated from LCBI high school at Outlook, Saskatchewan in May! We are extremely proud of Faith and her lifetime passion for helping others, trying new things, her appreciation for all cattle and her love for Jesus! She/we absolutely loved her time there over the last 2 years, and graduation was very unique and extra special with all our family enjoying time together celebrating Faith. We have made friendships there that will last a lifetime.

July 15 we welcomed our first grandbaby.(First of hopefully many, many more!) Jackson! He is absolutely perfect. Clint and I were home almost done haying and after getting the news I raked the last of the hay as fast as the tractor would go telling the farmer to wrap it up!

That night we left at 7pm headed to Victoria! We had been patiently (mostly patiently) awaiting the arrival of this baby and I tell you... nothing prepares you for how blessed you feel to have a healthy grandbaby put in your arms for the first time or every time after that! We are completely overjoyed! Wyatt and Kenzie did real good work on this guy!

In August we were delighted for the news that Tyler and Sydney got engaged! Sydney has been part of our family for a long time now and making it official brings us great happiness! So wedding planning has started and the date chosen for this very special day is October 4, 2025. Days seem to be flying by and this much anticipated celebration will come quick!

FarmingRanching and Living our best life!

There has been a lot of hard work take place this year as well.

We started the year off with calving going very well for us. Some extremely cold days, followed by some beautiful winter days... then repeat! As the calves have grown and developed over the year we have been extremely satisfied and have on offer our best, most even set of bulls and select replacement females to date!

The warm dry days starting in the spring, continued through summer and fall. We are seeing dramatic temperature swings and the entire herd has stayed healthy and vigorous.

Every year leads us to be more resourceful. On the cattle management side we secured enough food and water for summer grazing and put up good quality winter feed. Harvest was fast and considering the dry

conditions we still managed to have a decent yield.

We are always thankful for our excellent help! We could not do what we do without you all.

Our kids... our kids always help with what they can and we appreciate them so much, they are all so capable and we couldn’t do this without them. Papa was out in the spring helping and that’s always entertaining! Clark Smith joined the harvest crew this year again and we are always very happy and grateful to have his excellent help. Ashley White has been here for a lot of years now he helps get the crop in; then we see him again when it’s time to get the crop off. Last but not least, our International workaway winter calving helper Anna from Denmark! It was so refreshing to have her join us for 3 months and we will miss her so much!

Lorinda Wold: 780-402-1445

On be half of Lorinda and myself, we would like to welcome you to the 4th Annual Rio Grande Bull and Female Sale. We are blessed to be apart of this sale with such a great family. Clint and Anna quickly made a huge impact on our lives, becoming great friends and making us feel like we are part of the family.

As I write this, it is about 3am and I am watching a cow calve on Cow TV. It is the most popular channel this time of year. The weather has been great, except for the ice and crazy winds. Calving has been tougher this year, because my partner is on the injured reserve and is recovering from a long-awaited surgery. A person never truly appreciates the people in your life

until their not there. On that note, I’d like to personally thank Pat Stark and Robbie Binks for being exceptional friends and neighbors. I can’t thank you enough for all the help you provide.

After losing some ears on our calves, in a -40 stretch in 2024, I decided we needed a better barn and purchased a 2-piece, steel framed barn from the Bay tree Colony. Mathew and the boys did an amazing job building it and I couldn’t be happier. Justin Binks with Tee Pee Creek Hauling delivered it without issue and I had a top-notch crew consisting of Rick Leger, Glenn Fells and Pat Stark waiting to unload it and put the two pieces together. The next day Donnie Mcnally, Robbie Binks, Brady Fraser and I started with the electrical. On November 30, Lorinda and I decided to have a barn warming party to thank all our friends and neighbors for the help they provide us. It was catered by Bubba to Be from Grande Prairie. All traditional Ukrainian food. It turned out to be a super fun night.

in Worsely and has worked out wonderfully. Adding the knowledge and experience to help our program grow is priceless. Not only are they great partners but have become great friends and we truly appreciate having them in our lives. This gave us the opportunity to access some genetics that we otherwise may not have been able to afford. We also purchased a heifer with our great friend Brady Fraser. Brady and I spent countless hours discussing genetics trying to find pieces that will add to our program. He is always willing to come give a hand.

I am excited about our bulls on offer. Whether you’re looking for a calving ease option or more of a performance cow bull we feel that we have a good mix. The cattle market is at an all time high and it’s exciting that we are getting rewarded for the extremely hard effort we all have endured over the last few years. I enjoy visiting and looking at bulls and talking cattle (way too much according to Lorinda), so feel free to call or stop by. The bulls will be moved to Rio Grande approximately two weeks before the sale. I truly appreciate people stopping by for a visit and a look at our cattle.

The Winter of 2023/24 came the opportunity to partner up of some females with Jim and Donna Rowe of Lakeroad Angus

Thank you,
Danny & Lorinda

This bull is obviously long, thick and deep. When you step behind him the width and depth of hip is impressive and not seen in a moderate birth wieght bull very often. Rated very highly by everyone who has viewed him. His mother is a standout producer with a tidy udder and good feet. She brought this guy off pasture at 935lb on September 2 and had an 80lbs Alcatraz bull calf this year. His Elite grand dam has offspring in reputable herds across Canada.

GJR 19M is the result of partnering up with Jim and Donna Rowe. He is out of a first calver and she did not disappoint. He started out at 76lbs and weaned off at 830lbs. These Gable calves are thick and deep and surprise me ever time they hit the scale. 19M has a little more frame than his half brother DLW 8M. These Gable calves seem to have a shorter gestation, as I stated earlier, they all born 7 to 10 days early and get growing.

BROOKING

This strapping fellow will add some frame and power to your cows! He weaned off at 910lbs on September 2. His December 21 weight was 1245lbs. We have used Brooking Mercury trying to get females for our program. I have liked every female I’ve seen and could never seem to afford to buy one. 5M is out of HAMI 84H, one of my favorite cows. I have retained 2 heifers for our herd, and she had an Alcatraz bull calf this year. He should add pounds to your calves, and you are going to want to keep his daughters. Unfortunately, he was born during a -40 cold snap, and he tipped his ears, but as you can see, that never slowed him down.

Brady and I partnered up on this heifer at the Angus Collection in 2023. She is an Alcatraz daughter, bred to Gable. She hit it out of the park on her first calf. He started out at just 70lbs and weaned off at 840lbs on September 2. These Gable calves come early and are born with vigour. We calved out 3 heifers bred Gable and they all were 7 to 10 days early. 8M will be a good calving ease option. They are a moderate-made but pack on the pounds. He is very thick and deep-made. As you can see with our bulls this year, I discovered a coverall building is not warm enough for new born calves in -45. We are really excited about his mother, 168K, she had a Mercury heifer calf this year.

HEIKEN TRADEMARK 1018 2297845

BELVIN ROSEBUD 173’22 2259163

DLW 10M is a stylish-made, calving ease option. He started out at just 72lbs and weaned September 2 at 752lbs. He will be a moderate frame, like his sire and dam. Belvin Angus has used his sire on heifers with great success and I believe he will work just as good.

DLW 17M is our youngest bull on offer. His dam, Hami 230H is my favorite cow on the farm. When I picture the ideal Angus cow, she is it. She is as solid as they come. She has averaged under 80lbs birth weight on three calves. Going forward we will be flushing her in hopes of getting some daughters. He was only 75lbs at birth and was 760lbs at weaning. He has a lot of depth and is a nice width. He is a great calving ease option, and you will really want to look hard at his daughters for the replacement pen. As he matures he seems to be getting deeper and thicker.

Matt and Lindsay Spenner

SELLING 5 COMMERCIAL REPLACEMENT HEIFERS

First of all, we would like to thank Clint and Anna for inviting us to be a part of their bull sale this year. We are very excited for the opportunity to offer a small group of replacement heifers. We feel the heifers we have picked out are a great representation of what Rio Grande Angus bulls can consistently produce for commercial ranchers.

Our family has been raising Angus cross cattle in Arras B.C for the last 17 years. We bought our first bull from Clint and Anna back in 2014 and since then have bought another 24 bulls that never disappoint. We are continually impressed with the quality of bulls they have on offer and it keeps us coming back year after year.

Thank you, Matt and Lindsay Spenner

Matt and Lindsay have an exceptional commercial herd and have an excellent eye for cattle. We have appreciated them so much over the years, enjoying all the many entertaining phone conversations and visits.

We have used their females in our embryo program, to say that we were impressed at the quality of females they have is an understatement. Docility, excellent maternal instinct, good foot, great udders, lots of milk.

Matt and Lindsay keep excellent records and have a full health program they follow. If there are any questions about the heifers on offer they are happy to answer any questions. We are very happy to have them consigned to our sale this year, if you are looking to add to your herd, look no further. Buy with confidence. These 5 heifers are at our house for viewing any time.

- Clint & Anna Collins

Kerry and Monica Paslawski

SELLING 7 COMMERCIAL BRED HEIFERS

These 7 home-raised heifers have Angus x Simmental dams that have been part of our herd for 4 to 10 years, with one dam being about 12 years old! The sire is from Rio Grande Angus, and these heifers were bred to Rio Grande “Wyatt.” We expect birth weights of 70–85 pounds, along with good milk production and weaning weights that will fit in with our mature cow group. The heifers are due to calve from April 1st to May 10th (based on 40-day bull exposure). Pregnancy checks were completed in mid-October. We maintain a comprehensive herd health program and use Cow Bytes to ensure minerals are balanced with our grain/ forage winter ration for optimum health in cows and newborn calves. Any questions or to view them please contact us or Clint and Anna.

Thank you, Kerry and Monica Paslawski

We have been friends with the Paslawski family for many years. Monica taught all 3 of our kids in school. Their 3 daughters baby sat our kids as well. Their girls are all grown up now and are very accomplished women.

Over the years we have enjoyed meals together with conversations ranging from cows to politics and all aspects of life. We invited Kerry & Monica to consign these 7 beautiful Rio Grande Angus bred females to our sale. If you have any questions at all about health protocols and records including sire information please reach out to us! They live near us and cattle are available for viewing any time.
