FLOW TECH BRIM VENTING Flow Tech Venting in the brim connects the goggles to the internal channel on the headform side which connects to the ventilation on the exterior of the EPS but under the shell. The RYFT is composed of multiple paths all interconnected for increasing airflow.

REAR VENTS As the RYFT provides such a significant air intake, it needs efficient air extraction. The rear shark vents allow for a huge space underneath the vent panel and effectively flush air and heat out from the helmet.

MIPS® BRAIN PROTECTION SYSTEM

To make sure our helmets are as ventilated as they can be, our Research and Development team analyzed in details where EPS could be removed without diminishing the level of protection. This way, they were able to dig out channels that enhance the passive ventilation in a very efficient way. V E N T I L AT I O N Every part of a helmet doesnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t need the same quantity of EPS to provide perfect protection. Our Research and Development team carefully analyzed which areas could be carved out to reduce the unnecessary amount of EPS without reducing the level of security. This process allowed for bigger inner-space for the air to circulate and increase the passive ventilation proprieties as well as the weight of the helmets equipped with our AVID technology.

By reducing the amount of EPS in the areas where it was possible, we virtualy reduced the EPS density of those areas. That way they provide perfect protection for medium and low energy impacts by compressing upon contact while the surrounding areas with high density EPS keep your head safe from high energy impacts by absorbing the shock.

MIPS is a revolutionary technology that lets the helmet slide relative to the head, adding more protection against rotational motion to the brain caused by angled impacts. Because keeping you safe in every condition is our priority.

This simulation illustrates strain in the brain from a similar angled impact when the user is wearing a helmet without MIPS and a helmet with MIPS.

In addition to the reduction of the amount of EPS itself, the In-Mold construction of the INSTINCT 2.0 MIPS allowed us to truely integrate 2 different types of EPS with 2 different densities. A low density foam on the top of the head where impacts carry less energy and a high density foam on the sides and the back of the head where impacts carry the most destructive energy. This process provided a lighter overall product, while enhnancing the ventilation and protection proprieties of the AVID technology.
