Construction T Level

Construction output in the UK totals more than £110 billion per year, which means a qualification in construction opens up a range of opportunities, giving you the practical and technical skills to build an exciting, and high-level, career!

These T Levels, equivalent to three A Levels, will give you the skills to excel in the exciting world of construction and professional building, preparing you for further study at university, or giving you the qualifications to begin a rewarding, and well paid, career. You’ll spend 20% of your time on an Industry Placement, giving you vital experience in the world of work and a CV to wow future employers.

Design, Surverying & Planning

T Level

Topics covered include: Computer Aided Design (CAD); Building Technology; Surveying Techniques; and Design & Management of Construction Projects. Depending on where your ambitions lie, you’ll then take it to the next level, focusing on an occupational specialism:

• Building Services Design

• Civil Engineering

• Surveying & Design for Construction & the Built Environment

• Hazardous Materials Analysis & Surveying

Entry Requirements

A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Maths.

Career Options & Progression

Completing this T Level will allow you to progress directly on to employment, university or even a paid Apprenticeship. Career opportunities include:

• Architect, earning up to £90,000 per year

• Quantity Surveyor, earning up to £80,000 per year

• Construction Manager, earning up to £65,000 per year

Gas Engineering T Level

Topics covered include: Legislation; Combustion; Gases; Flues; Pipework; Ventilation; and Appliances.

Focusing on your occupational specialism of Gas Engineering, you’ll study the theoretical elements of gas installation and be trained to industry levels in the workshop, covering a range of activities similar to the training a domestic gas engineer receives.
