Carol Service The Junior Boys’ Carol Service was held in the Girls’ Division Great Hall and filmed so that the whole school community could enjoy the occasion. Choral singing was the focus for the evening: the Upper School Choir, Lower School Choir and Chamber Choir took centre stage during the programme, and the whole school sang several carols. These performances were interspersed with moving readings focused on the Christmas story.

Ensembles Concert The Ensembles Concert gave instrumental groups an opportunity to shine at Christmastime. The young musicians were delighted to perform festive treats for an audience of their peers. The groups featured on the programme were the Guitar Group, the Percussion Ensemble, the Recorder Group, the Tuned Percussion Group and the String Quartet. Pop Project The Pop Project’s musical extravaganza got boys and staff up on their feet and boogying to the music! The theme of the afternoon was ‘moving on’ after a couple of years of disruption, and the boys were encouraged to adopt a positive mindset, as reflected in the upbeat choice of music and lyrics.

Spring Concert The Spring Concert was a spectacular occasion, featuring both instrumental groups and choirs. The whole school singing together to raise the roof with uplifting music had to be one of the highlights of the school year!

Music Festival Eleven different classes were held over the two days of the Music Festival, with an amazing ninety-five individual entries and eight ensembles! The competition was strong this year and the adjudicator, Mr Daniel Chandler, found it very hard to choose the best individual performance.
