A note from the Head…
This week has been Children’s Mental Health Week and on Monday we began the day with the whole school singing ‘Reach for the Stars!’ This was great fun and a lovely way to connect with each other –it definitely left us all feeling uplifted. Hopefully we will be able to share our video with you soon.
The week was rounded off with a very enjoyable Breakfast Club this morning, kindly organised by the Parents’ Association. Thank you very much to everyone who helped to provide this lovely treat and to those who supported the event.
It has been a particularly busy week in Hesketh House, with visits from the Fire Service and Young Shakespeare Company and a range of fixtures in hockey, netball and football. We also welcomed Year 2 girls from Beech House, who spent a lovely morning with us on Tuesday, finding out just a little bit more about life at Hesketh House. On Thursday, our Year 5 and Year 6 Choir made an appearance at Beech House, enjoying connecting with the younger pupils, who were very impressed with their singing!
Next week we are looking forward to our Music Festival on Monday and Tuesday – parents are welcome to attend any of the classes their daughters are taking part in if they wish, timings are included later in the Newsletter. Unfortunately, there is no on-site parking; parents will need to park off site and enter on foot, via the main Riley Reception.
Also next week we have our MFL Day on Thursday and Year 3 are looking forward to a trip to Tatton Hall on Friday. In addition, we have two different hockey competitions and many girls are supporting our Malawi fundraiser at Jump Xtreme. I think everyone will have earned their half term holiday by the end of the week!
