Bon Air Sweden AB - A subsidiary
MKK was established in Mosjøen, Norway in 1996 and has since then grown to become a global supplier of customized HVAC solutions.
In 2007, MKK acquired Bon Air Sweden AB. Bon Air Sweden delivers HVAC solutions for railway and special mobile equipment.
We are proud to deliver products essential to maintain productivity and stability in some of the world’s most demanding industries and conditions. Our goal is to control temperature, regardless of the ambient conditions.
To realize the synergy-effects from the acquisition, MKK and Bon Air have integrated their administrative and technical functions to further increase the solutions we develop for our customers. MKK and Bon Air have a joint headquarter and production facility in Mosjøen, Norway, and a production site in Storuman, Sweden for serial production.

WHAT WE DO Possibilities Customized HVAC Possibilities within HVAC products is almost endless. Bon Air and MKK has long experience developing customized products suited towards our customer wishes. With our long experience, we know what is available and what is possible physically to perform within the HVAC industry. We have our own technical department that performs designs, tests, prototypes and research. With our own test room, we can perform tests from minus 30°C to + 80°C. State of the art computer software allows different test on possible designs. We can perform CFD analysis (computational fluid dynamics), with an analysis like this we can with our experience focus on driver comfort, defrost function, airflow and temperature zones early in the design phase. HVAC design Bon Air design a healthy working climate, not only an air condition unit. Our goal during the design phase is to present a solution that the end customer is very pleased with. By taking into account air distribution and air currents, we will achieve a completely different working environment compared to just focus on heating and cooling system. Auto cabin pressure system Bon Air aims to protect operators in various industry by making adaptive and easy system. By combining an Bon Air HVAC system with our cabin pressure system, you will secure a protective and safe environment for the operators. The controller and the air supply fan will together work towards an pre-set overpressure inside your cabin.
Cabin controller Bon Air can develop solutions for integrating climate control cabins, headlights, windscreen wipers and etc. into a single panel allow for simpliďŹ ed systems, operations and reduced costs. Such a development will take place in cooperation with our electronics supplier who has extensive experience with climate control towards the vehicle industry.
Electric powered vehicles Emission reduction is on of the key driver for R&D work. Sustainable development has enabled us to meet our customers requirements and future oriented projects. By following the market, we could certainty say that in populated areas like cities and industries there is high probability that all vehicles will eventually be replaced by zero-emission vehicles. Bon Air and MKK have great experience designing HVAC systems for electric vehicles, and we have solutions to your challenges. With efficient compressors, EC controlled fans, and heat-pump solutions, we can tailor the possibilities of each unique customer.
Early design stage Considerations on indoor thermal comfort, air distribution and energy efficiency need to be addressed early in the conceptual design stage of new operator cabin and vehicle cabins. The comfort zone for a human is defined as the range of environmental conditions in which the human body can achieve thermal comfort and healthy air. Average comfort for humans is best at air temperature at 22 +/- 2°C, relative humidity at 50 +/- 2% RH and air speed below 0,2 m/s. Another factor is the sound level presented by the airflow and fans. All these factors are important for the experienced comfort an operator is exposed to. By involving Bon Air in an early stage we can calculate and suggest multiple solutions before any design is established. Not only would the result be a high-end comfort cabin, in addition you will achieve this as affordable as possible cause we can take into account designing a solution with as simple means as possible without compromising perceived comfort.
