Doudou prince Prince Comforting Matériel
Laine verte de calibre 5,5 (pour le prince) / Laine rouge de calibre 5 (pour les habits) + Aiguilles n°5,5 / Laine jaune de calibre 3,5 ou 4 + Fil lurex (pour la couronne) + Aiguilles n° 3,5 / Aiguille de tapissier / 2 perles de tailles différente pour les yeux / Mousse pour rembourrer les coussins.
Explications Le prince
Monter 20 mailles, tricoter 40 rangs au point mousse. Rabattre les mailles. Broder la bouche. Fixer les yeux et dessiner les pupilles avec un feutre indélébile. Coudre ensemble 2 côtés, retourner le travail comme une chaussette. Bourrer avec la mousse, fermer le dernier côté. Faire des tresses d’environ 20 cm pour les membres avec 9 brins de laine, et les coudre.
Cape
Monter 20 mailles, tricoter au point mousse 30 rangs, rabattre les mailles, couper le fil à environ 15 cm. Utiliser les brins qui pendent pour faire les liens de la cape. Pour une cape à col : glisser ces fils le long du bord à l’aide d’une aiguille de tapissier et les faire ressortir à environ 4 cm du haut de la cape, puis replier le col.
Bottes
Monter 8 mailles, tricoter au point mousse 20 rangs. Rabattre les mailles. Coudre les bords et le fond pour former un cylindre fermé en bas. Retourner comme une chaussette. Faire pareil pour l’autre pied !
La petite couronne
Monter 30 mailles, tricoter en jersey 8 rangs. Tricoter un rang endroit en alternant 1 jeté (c’est à dire enrouler le fil sur l’aiguille de droite) et 2 mailles ensemble. Faire le rang envers en tricotant les mailles comme elles se présentent. On obtient un rang de jours. Tricoter 8 rangs en jersey. Rabattre les mailles. Coudre les extrémités endroit contre endroit pour former un cylindre. Plier le travail en suivant les « pointillés » formés par le rang de jours. On obtient de petites dents ! Coudre la base de la couronne à l’aide de l’aiguille de tapissier pour maintenir cette pliure.

Green grade-5.5 wool (for the prince) / Red grade-5 wool (for the clothes) + number 5.5 needles / Yellow grade-4 wool and gold Lurex thread (for crown) + number 3.5 needles / Embroidery needle / Differently sized beads for the eyes / Foam for stuffing
Instructions The prince
Cast 20 stitches, knit stitch 40 rows. Cast off. Embroider the mouth. Stick on the eyes and draw the pupils with an indelible pen. Sew together the two sides, turn inside out like a sock. Stuff with foam, close the final side. Make braids of around 20cm for the limbs with 9 strands of wool, and sew them together.
Cape
Cast 20 stitches, knit stitch 30 rows, cast off, cut the thread at around 15cm. Use the hanging strands to make the cape’s straps. For a cape with a collar: pull the yarn along the edge using an embroidery needle and bring it back out at around 4cm from the top of the cape then fold up for the collar. Cast 8 stitches, knit stitch 20 rows, cast off. Sew the edges and the bottom to form a cylinder closed at the bottom. Turn inside out like a sock. Do the same for the other foot.
The little crown
Cast 30 stitches, knit 8 rows in stocking stitch. Knit a row by alternating 1 throw stitch (i.e., leaving the yarn on the right needle) and 2 stitches together. Make the opposite row by knitting the stitches as they arise. You will have an openwork row. Knit 8 rows in stocking stitch. Cast off. Sew the extremities together to form a cylinder. Fold the work following the “dotted line” formed by the openwork to get small teeth. Sew the base of the crown with the embroidery needle to hold the fold in place.

Star
Il était une fois une étoile, pas n’importe quelle étoile, la plus belle d’entre toutes, la reine des étoiles. Star, car c’était son nom, étincelait de mille feux. à ses cotés, même la voie lactée paraissait délavée. Once upon a time there was a star, not just any old star, but the most beautiful one of all, the queen of stars. Star, since that was her name, sparkled like a thousand lights. Alongside her, even the Milky Way looked washed out.

Star brillait si fort qu’on pouvait même la contempler de jour. Sur Terre, les hommes l’adoraient : elle les guidait dans leur voyage et les rassurait les nuits sans lune. Dans le ciel, la lune, justement, jalousait son éclat qui réchauffait même l’espace. Star shone so brightly that you could even gaze at her in the daytime. Back on Earth men adored her; she guided them in their travels and reassured them on moonless nights. In the sky, even the moon envied her brilliance, so bright it even heated up space.

Mais Star se sentait seule, là-haut, perchée au milieu du ciel. Elle rêvait d’aventures aux quatre coins de l’Univers. Un jour où elle regardait vers la Terre, elle fut attirée par une immense tache bleue. Elle s’approcha alors et découvrit l’Océan, l’empereur des mers. One day when she was looking in the Earth’s direction, her attention was drawn to an immense patch of blue. So she drew closer and discovered the Ocean, the emperor of the seas.

Such powerful waves and capricious currents! Star was instantly captivated and fell in love with the Ocean. She had found her King.
