NO BETTER PLACE FOR THE GOSPEL! More than 381,000 decisions for Jesus in Ghana
There Is No Better Place for the Gospel!

The CfaN team and regional pastors pray with 300,000 attendees in Ashaiman and Tema for all requests placed in the large prayer box on the platform. The box includes prayer requests from CfaN partners all over the world.
The final decision card count resulted in 381,610 documented decisions for Jesus Christ. Our follow-up system, adopted by the local churches, will ensure that these new believers get added to the local churches.
God’s healing power overflowed beyond those who came specifically for the meetings. Daniel’s driver had suffered pain in his neck for many years. But on the second night, after Daniel prayed for the sick, the pain left and did not return.
The CfaN technical team was on the road for four days with three, fully-loaded trucks, taking equipment from our warehouse in Lagos, Nigeria to Ghana via Benin and Togo.

TEMA is the main seaport of the West African country, Ghana. It’s located about 25 km from the nation’s capital, Accra. Tema is therefore part of the “Greater Accra” region, a conurbation stretching for 100 km along the coast, and up to 30 km inland. Also part of the region is the municipality of ASHAIMAN. This district is rapidly growing, but also known throughout Ghana as a very troubled part of the country.
The former rubbish dump – prepared for the CfaN Fire Conference each morning.
At first it seemed impossible to secure a location for such large-scale meetings in this densely populated area. But we finally found a field that met our space requirements: a rubbish dump criss-crossed by sewage drains, and surrounded by slums. This was indeed an unusual location, but it was also exactly the place where people desperately needed to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So the CfaN team began to clear the field. We also had to fill up mud holes and swamp areas with gravel to make the field passable. Then we built a small wooden bridge for people to cross the sewage drains from one of the surrounding areas.
The hard work paid off. About 90,000 people came to the first meeting.
There was yet another increase on the third day. We experienced a wonderful move of the Holy Spirit during the morning Fire
As Daniel Kolenda said: “When you look at the size of the crowd it’s easy to forget that we are actually standing on top of a rubbish dump. Just a few meters to the side, the town’s rubbish is burned. Goats are running around looking for something to eat. This truly is ‘beauty for ashes.’ We are surrounded by the most dangerous districts in Ghana. Even the local police refuse to come here. There is no better place for the Gospel!” On the second night the crowd grew to 120,000. Together we witnessed an amazing demonstration of God’s power. People were saved, the sick were healed and many living in bondage were set free.
Conference. Then again that night, with about 200,000 people present, the Holy Spirit moved in remarkable ways. When Daniel Kolenda asked how many of those gathered were healed, literally thousands of hands went up. And even though we were only able to bring a small sampling of those healed onto the stage to give their testimonies, it was clear Jesus worked well beyond what we could ever comprehend.
This small boy, Clemson, was paralyzed and partially blind. He had to be carried to the meeting. But after Daniel prayed for the sick on Friday night, Clemson stood up. He walked without a limp across the platform and his sight was completely restored. This man marched proudly around the platform. Scoliosis forced him to walk bent over for many months because standing upright was so painful. He came to the meeting by taxi and was healed by Jesus on the second night.
Peter van den Berg
“It’s easy to forget that we are actually standing on top of a rubbish dump!”
At the Fire Conference meetings for pastors and church workers, Peter van den Berg, Russell Benson and Brian Guerin delivered dynamic, encouraging messages.
At the last meeting, where about 300,000 people gathered on the rubbish dump, the local pastors told us that the whole region was moved and shaken. Many thousands of people not only received salvation through Jesus, but also healing and the baptism in the Holy Spirit. God had left His mark on southern Ghana!

This woman, paralyzed on her left side by a stroke last year, stated that she was completely healed. Dancing and running around on the platform, she said: “All that was weighing me down is gone.”
This woman had been suffering from painful ulcers for two years. But she said, “During prayer I felt something cold go through my body and suddenly all pain was gone!” She even waited till the following day to give her testimony to make sure the pain was completely gone.
This man was almost completely blind. When he testified on the third night, he said that for years his son had to lead him wherever he went. After prayer the previous night, he was still unable to see. But when he woke up the next morning, his sight had been completely restored.
This young lady was not able to turn her neck in years. Her grandmother had made her a neck support to protect her from further pain. On Thursday night during prayer she felt something go into her body and then all pain was gone. She testified the next day.

Blantyre, Malawi
Jesus’ Works Were the Talk of the Town The dynamics of the meetings increased steadily The city of Blantyre was named after the Scottish town where the famous missionary and Africa explorer, David Livingstone, was born. Situated more than 1000 m above sea level, today Blantyre is Malawi’s second largest city and the country’s economic center. Malawi is about the size of Austria and Switzerland put together, and has around 17 million inhabitants. On the first day, the size of the crowd in Malawi was relatively small compared to what we saw in Lusaka, Zambia, just a few weeks previous. But the presence of God was tangible in a powerful way, and the CfaN team was certain that the news of this event would spread like wildfire in the region. And that is exactly what happened. The crowd doubled on the second night. Daniel gave a clear message on the significance of the Blood of Jesus, and led multitudes to Christ through a salvation prayer. The dynamics of the meetings increased steadily. The following night the crowd nearly doubled again and there was great excitement in the town – everywhere people talked about hat Jesus was doing.
Daniel’s former apprentice Eugen Krahn greets the people and prays for the sick with great anointing.
Some months previously, Peter van den Berg had been diagnosed with cancer. Under normal circumstances he should not have been able to attend the Campaign in Ashaiman and Tema. But Jesus touched him in answer to prayer. Not only was he well, but he was also able to preach a powerful and clear Gospel message. Everyone at CfaN is thankful that God spared Peter’s life. There is still so much to do. As is customary, Daniel concluded the event by blessing the nation and praying for the people, government, president and churches.
Testimonies For ten years this woman was unable to stand for more than five minutes, and even that was devastatingly painful. She stated that the moment she put her foot on the Campaign field the first night, something like ice went through her body. Then she realized that all pain was gone. She was able to stand during the whole meeting. “I can walk, run and dance again! said this woman who had not been able to walk for two years due to rheumatism. We immediately put this to a test and danced together on the platform. The crowd rejoiced and danced with us.
I will only leave once I have received my healing! A 90-year-old woman who suffered from many diseases for many years, including arthritis, walked over 50 km to be at the meeting. She spent the night right on the field, determined to remain until she received her healing. On the second night it happened, and she was literally jumping for joy. A 90-year-old jumping on the platform! It was truly wonderful.
One woman brought her son who was mentally troubled and violent. She explained during a testimony that he used to hit and attack people randomly. But on the very first night, he was set free by the power of God. He spoke softly into the microphone saying that Jesus had delivered him.
For 16 years this woman was deaf. On Saturday night Jesus heard her cry and healed her.
Bedridden for nine years This woman was bedridden for nine years, also suffering from HIV. She was carried into the meeting on the third night. After prayer, she was completely healed, rose up, ran around and danced. Her sister also came to the platform, tearfully confirming her healing when she saw her sister walking. It was a very special moment.
