Love wears many cloaks.... ~ from the love you feel for your family ~ to the love you feel for your friends ~ not to mention knock-your-socks-off romantic love! But the love I was most unprepared for.... was what happened the moment I heard my babies cry their first cry. In that moment, time stood still..... long enough for a river of love to well up within me As if to arm me with all I needed to become a parent It was so unexpected and felt at once both a part of me and not a part of me Like a bond was being formed between me and my baby, actually unfolding as I lay there, to replace the physical one And somehow it was unraveling before my eyes as if I didn’t really have anything to do with it Whether it was a primal force and we’re programmed this way to ensure we take care of our offspring, I don’t know But what I do know is that I have been left with a love so fierce and so uncompromising It truly is one of the greatest blessings of my life

Love is....
everywhere, just sometimes not red heart shaped balloons blazing blissfully with galactic force before your eyes. It’s a trip too that didn’t start and will never finish. An infinite spiral, complete with hooks, spikes and swirling temptations. We all orbit each other like the planets, the sun, feeling the darkness and light, the warmth, breath and comfort of feeling at one. Before again the shade makes things grey, our doubts distance others, and we reconstitute our stellar forces ready again to latch on to the paths that stay closer to the shiny stuff. We resonate, vibrate, instinctively remain intimate with the precious before daring intellect drives confusion, derision and faint sense of loss. Around we go, unravelling the scenes that play out again and again, deep down recalling the plot, the smell, the colours of this multi-dimensional tapestry of nature. Understanding that instinct to step forward into the next, busting though, and having the courage to respond, take action and prove to oneself and therefore to all, that evolution is personal. But collectively the ultimate, perhaps not negotiable. It’s beyond words and hence the conundrum to communicate such things in any other way other than artful silent wizardry. Biochemical flares that tantalize their true recipients when given freedom to fire. Love is the easiest and simplest path of all, but never a story told without the accompaniment of the wonderful drama that makes life oh so.....real.
