Here is a sample text box to test how a narrative description fits on the page. I’m starting with a 100, one hundred, word paragraph so you can see how this proportion of text is situated. Is it too long, too short? Do you need more room or is this the right amount of text for the page. There are always a couple of options that we can test and try out. This is just something to start with until I insert your text for your ebook. Then we can make adjustments when we see the actual text on here.

In Hawaii, the word ‘Aloha’ is used to say hello, goodbye and as an expression of love. We all got pretty used to it while we were away. We arrived home to a new member of the family……our house sitter bought us a fish for our (broken) fish tank! lol. When brainstorming what his name should be, Dave promptly said ‘Aloha’. It seems to fit. It also fits this post- the last few days of our vacation are posted here, beautiful, sunshiny days where the air was warm and the breeze perfect. There really is something about those trade winds! Just magic. Aloha to Hawaii, Aloha to coming home and Aloha to all of you that leave me comments! It really does make my day:)

Incredibly, my baby, well, ok, middle child;) turned six in February. I always try and write my boys a birthday letter on their birthday, but this year I did an interview. My tip for this if you are going to do this is to NOT do this while your child is distracted by Minecraft;) It tends to skew the answers;) An interview with Reece on his sixth birthday. 1. What is your favorite color? Red 2. What is your favorite toy? Lego 3. What is your favorite fruit? Strawberries/blueberries 4. What is your favorite tv show? Minecraft Family on YouTube 5. What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch? Pee/poo/mushroom stew 6. What is your favorite outfit? No favorite – likes shorts 7. What is your favorite game? Lego 8. What is your favorite snack? Ahhhhhhhh. Summer! For us, summer is synonymous with Kimball Lake. This is our fifth summer of heading out to the lake and staying for a month! It’s my kids version of paradise (it runs a second after Hawaii for me;)). It’s also the place where the kids get to eat junk, run wild and exercise their independance.
