CHOOSE A PROGRAMME Sit down with a cuppa and have a good look through this prospectus to see what you’re interested in. If you want to find out more about a particular programme, contact our Information Centre on 07 571 0190 or 0800 BOP POL Y (267 7659), email info@boppoly.ac.nz, or return the postcard at the back of this prospectus to get a programme brochure in the mail. If you just can’t wait and want the information right now, then check out our website at www.boppoly.ac.nz - all of our programme brochures are available online for immediate download.
APPLICATION There are two easy ways for you to apply. For full-time programmes, complete an application available from the Information Centre or apply online at www.boppoly.ac.nz/go/applynow. Many part-time programmes allow you to enrol directly, that means you can skip steps 2 & 3.

Financing Your Studies
Once you’ve decided what you want to study, next comes the scary part – paying for it. This section gives you the lowdown on the numerous funding options available and our awesome Information Advisers are here to help. They can give you all the details you need as well as offering assistance with your application for a student loan or a scholarship. You can find details on your course fees in the programme brochures - available from the Information Centre or online at www.boppoly.ac.nz/go/brochure.
Loans & Allowances
If you’re enrolled in full-time study, then rest assured - all our full-time courses qualify for Student Loans and Student Allowances through StudyLink. Our advice is to apply early, even as soon as you think you might start studying, as there can be long delays. IMPORTANT: Allowances and the living costs component of the Student Loan will only be paid from programme commencement or the date StudyLink receives your application, whichever is the later. Therefore, it’s important you apply as soon as you consider tertiary study. Student Loans Student Loans are available to help you meet costs while you’re studying. Your loan can cover: – Fees (these are paid directly to the tertiary institute), – Course-related costs (up to $1,000 per year) and – Living expenses of up to approximately $163 per week, less any Student Allowance you are entitled to. Be aware that you will need to repay it once you finish study. You can apply online at www.studylink.govt.nz or call StudyLink on freephone 0800 88 99 00. Student Allowances Student Allowances are also available to help eligible students with living expenses; this does not have to be repaid. Check out StudyLink’s website for their eligibility calculator to see if you qualify. How much you can get depends on your income, your parents’ income if you are under 24, whether you live with your parents, whether you have a partner and how much they earn, and whether you have children. You can apply for your allowance online at www.studylink.govt.nz or call StudyLink on freephone 0800 88 99 00. Training Incentive Allowance If you’re a recipient of a long term benefit (for example, a widows, domestic purposes or invalids benefit) you may be eligible for a Training Incentive Allowance (TIA) through Work and Income New Zealand (WINZ). Your allowance may include course fees and materials, travel costs and childcare costs. Contact your case manager for details.
