BSPC People . . . who’s in-house? Each issue we get to know a BSPC professional from one of BSPC’s member firms and this week we are speaking to - Brenda Dougal from Cullen Kilshaw Tell us about your role within Cullen Kilshaw?
How long have you worked with the firm?
As Property Valuer it is my job to visit potential clients in their homes to give advice on all matters relating to the sale of their property. This includes providing an estimate of the current value and agreeing a marketing strategy, along with preparing sales details and taking photographs of the property.
I have worked at Cullen Kilshaw since April 2003.
What do you enjoy most about your job? I love the fact that my job is versatile – every day is different. I also like the fact that I can get out and about, meet lots of nice people and get to look at some great properties.
What keeps you busy when you’re not at the office? I enjoy spending time at the gym and running.
What’s your greatest achievement? Last year I completed my first half marathon but also climbed Ben Nevis which is something I’ve always wanted to do.
Name two things you can’t live without? Lip gloss and my trainers!
Where’s your favourite place in the Borders?
What’s your favourite Borders eatery?
I live in Innerleithen and have to admit that the hills and walkways surrounding the town are some of my favourite places to be.
Can’t go past the Salmon Inn in Galashiels
