A delightful combination of modern architecture and traditional build quality awaits you
EXCEPTIONAL CRAFTSMANSHIP One of the first things you will see when you enter an East Broomlands home is the impressive staircase. This superb feature is made from the finest European oak, meticulously crafted in the company’s joinery workshop in Kelso. Deep honey coloured oak is a feature throughout each home. All doors, skirtings and facings are made from this hardwood, that is not only beautiful but lasts forever. High quality brass ironmongery fittings are standard on the doors. A selection of top quality kitchen and utility room units and appliances can be chosen from a reputable local supplier, and tasteful high quality white sanitary ware comes as standard.
The high quality timber patio doors and double glazed windows are coated with low maintenance micro porous paint, cleaning of the top swing windows has been made easier and safer due to being fully reversible. uPVC fascias, gutters and rainwater pipes are a feature of all house types and will not require any future maintenance. All homes have garages with sectional rollover doors, while the 5 bedroom house has an electrically operated door. Traditional paviors are used in the driveways and the gardens are part landscaped so that the personal touch can be created with the addition of flower beds, shrubs, trees or even water features.
The exteriors of the exquisite East Broomlands homes are rendered and have a locally procured sandstone base course. The traditional slated roofs are an attractive feature of this new development.
From the moment you step inside, this really is quality you can see and touch

AN IMPRESSIONABLE LOCATION East Broomlands may be on the outskirts of the town, but the atmosphere of the location is undoubtedly rural due to its natural setting between established woodlands where nature abounds. The views from all the homes are spectacular with an uninterrupted vista over the surrounding rural countryside to the foot of the Cheviot Hills on the national border. All East Broomlands homes take advantage of the southerly aspect of the development. Although it has just over 6000 residents, Kelso is a very lively town. The vibrant centre of the attractive market town has a good variety of shops and is within ten minutes walking distance of East Broomlands. There are two excellent primary schools, Broomlands and Edenside nearby and the reputable Kelso High School, is also just a ten minute walk away. Nearby, both Shedden and Woodside are large public parks which offer a variety of activities for children and adults, including football, hockey, cricket, skateboarding, putting and children’s playing areas. A few minutes walk from East Broomlands sees the start of some beautiful, peaceful riverside walks which take in both the town’s landmark bridges, the Mayfield Garden Centre and Kelso Abbey.

A CHARMING TOWN THAT STIRS YOUR SOUL The small market town of Kelso is the jewel in the crown of the Scottish Borders, situated at the confluence of the world famous River Tweed and the lesser-known, but no less sublime River Teviot. A notable feature of the town is the cobbled market square dominated by the town hall with architecture influenced by the French style. The impressive five-arch Kelso Bridge, constructed by John Rennie in the eighteenth century, became the model for Waterloo Bridge in London, which was demolished and rebuilt in the USA in 1934. The ruins of Kelso Abbey, built in 1128, pay tribute to one the largest of the magnificent Border Abbeys that include Melrose, Jedburgh and Dryburgh.
Floors Castle which is the largest inhabited mansion in Scotland and is home to the Duke of Roxburghe and his family, lies to the north of the town. The Scottish Borders is world-famous rugby country and this features largely on the Kelso sporting calendar. Kelso also has its own football, cricket and bowling teams, a swimming pool, ice rink, race course and point-to-point course. Two beautiful eighteen-hole golf courses including the championship Roxburghe Golf Course are a short drive from the development. There is excellent salmon and coarse fishing on the River Tweed, Europe’s top salmon fishing river.
“ Kelso must be the most beautiful, if not the most romantic, town in Scotland” - Sir Walter Scott
