“Connected” S cottish Mental Health Arts Festival, 3 – 26 May 2019
There are a number of writing groups in the Scottish Borders working with people who face challenges in their health and well-being. Writing can help people look at their challenges and difficulties in a new way or can help them disentangle thoughts which may feel chaotic. Writing and reading can give us new perspectives and insights into our own and others’ behaviour. We would like to receive submissions from writers, wither new or established, based in the Scottish Borders or beyond, who have used writing to improve their own health issues, with some response or link to the SMHAF theme “Connected”. This edition of Eildon Tree will be supported by NHS/SBC Joint Health Improvement Team, Mental Health team and Live Borders Creative and Connected Communities. All submissions will be reviewed and chosen by a panel drawn from both partners and the Eildon Tree editors.
