Savamala is located in old core of Belgrade, Serbia on the coast of the river Danube. Architecture of this part of city is very characteristic, so this place became a part of contemporary artistic life of Belgrade during past 10 years. Because of bad architectural and worst urban conditions, this place is shelter of the lowest social levels which results as a place full of homeless. Municipality has decided to destroy the most of old worthless buildings and to build completely new architecture which should contain a lot of space for contemporary housing and artistic places. Also this place should be

an example for preserved architecture in new era after conservatives of past socialism. The idea of the project is to create new type of infrastructure in this old part of the city which for consequence will have transformation of sound noise in different parts of this area. With this intervention new public points will get better access. Design of architecture is concentrated on traditional modernistic concrete in materials and combined deconstructivistic form, wich creats new identity of Belgrade. I 09 I

2015

ART GALLERY cONCEPT AND URBAN ENVIROMENT DESIGN The new Art Gallery of Serbia is an engaging and inviting visual arts center in downtown Belgrade. Celebrating its prominent location on Red Cross Square, the city’s arts and government core, the building’s architectural design formally and philosophically extends out into the community, welcoming visitors of all ages and backgrounds to experience contemporary art

firsthand. Crafted of natural concrete, high performance stainless steel and timber dome roof structure, the building has a timeless appearance and extraordinary durability in the local climate. Inspired by the fibonacci golden spiral form of the building invite people and give them continuity while they walking through museum.

IT CENTER & exhibition space CONCEPT | FACULTY OF ARCHITECTURE

The IT Center is positioned in New Belgrade, very urban area. in a narrow environment is large shopping center with modern architecture and in wider environment are building blocks built from 1960. The form is conceived as a contrast with environment. The big di erence from standard shape is base that has ejected blinds so it has a constructive role. The form is monumental, coldness and no light, which represents some kind of machine that is producing inside. So the form generated by the sense of the function. Concept of designing didn’t become only from formal and functional relations, but it is coming from structural aspect of object. Firstly we constructed the foundation of the office building then we looked into the functional details and after we have started the designing process. This kind og designing process is applied only on part of object where we need a space for hard work of machines. After we finished a complete construction we gave it a life with applied materials, so the construction becomes design itself.
