ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE

That’s how I remember it. The Frazier’s Harley-Davidson Vintage Bikes and Hot Rods Cruise-In that happened at the Frazier’s dealership at 4699 Friendship Rd., Buford, GA on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Getting there from my Marietta home was fun....kinda. Y’all know the story, run with the big dogs, or stay on the porch. My Harley Road King and I were out runnin’ with the big dogs. How else can you get there? The highways north of Atlanta are jammin’ early Saturday afternoon. Hwy. 285 flying. Hwy. 985 faster yet. No place to be timid. Truth is, I really wanted to get there FAST. And that I did! Upon arriving at Frazier’s, I spotted a parking place down the row of bikes and cars packed in tight. I backed in, shut down and placed the kick-stand on the ground. Relaxed at last. Then I looked up. And just a few feet away from me was the bikini bike wash. A sight for sore eyes. WOW! The beautiful girls from Bikini Coast International were putting on quite a show. What I mean to say is that they were vigorously washing motorcycles. And threewheelers. And doing an excellent job of it. When finished, every clean machine looked like it was showroom fresh. I could have stayed and watched their special techniques for hours. Maybe even learned how to better take care of my bike. Or something. But alas, there was lots more to see here at Frazier’s. Like the Atlanta’s Contagious Band. Ever seen them? Heard them? Let me tell you, THEY’RE GREAT! They provided just what we needed, best described as “high-energy musical entertainment”. They say it best. “We’ll get your party started”. And that they did, all afternoon. Like I often say, you shoulda been there. Saturday was a hot day, and after listening to such “hot”

“I’M SURE THAT THESE GUYS CAN SET YOU ON THE RIGHT PATH TO RIDER HAPPINESS.“

music for a while, it was time to go inside the airconditioned showroom. To cool down. And look around. Bikes everywhere. And then even more bikes. And accessories. And clothing. And.... Then I spotted her. Sales person Annie. At the register ringing up a happy customer. I do believe all of Annie’s customers must be happy. She not only knows how to make a sale, she knows exactly how to treat her customers. Need a new t-shirt? She’s got them. And all the other Harley-Davidson accessories that you want or need. Go see Annie. Now back to the bikes. That’s what this is all about. The bikes. Right? If you really want to find out about the new (or used) Harley-Davidson’s on display, talk to David Chastain. He’s the sales manager. He and his right-hand man Alex Willingham can access your needs and suggest different models that would suit you best. THE BEST. Go try ‘em on for size. See which one fits you. So many sizes and styles. I’m SURE that these guys can set you on the right path to rider happiness. Now, moving over by the door, I see Billy Cox from Cox Design working on leather’s. And patches. Man, this guy can do it all. Working with leather....or any other special design needs...check out his web page at coxdesigninc.com Now what? I’m hungry. That’s what. Gotta go eat. Stepping back outside, o’lookie there, it’s Bill Frazier himself cookin’ up lunch for his customers. What more could you ask? He’s a great cook. And he runs the grill just like he runs his dealership. Friendly, taking customer orders, and you know that he’s in charge. Bill truly is “the man”. Get to know him! Well, now my tummy is full, so it’s time to walk it off before I jump back on my Road King and try to go out and play in traffic. Plenty of bikes, along with cars and trucks in the cruise-in show. Nice stuff up here in Buford. Different than what I usually see in Marietta. And a good walk around the area helped get my stomach back in shape. Or at least livable. Preparing for a race with the rats all the way back to Marietta. It’s not all that far. Really. I just gotta stay on guard for the folks that think they are on “auto-pilot”. It seems there is a lot of them on the roads today. Let me end by saying that this is not my first trip to Frazier’s. I get there when I can. And believe me, I try to make this trip often. The cruise-in seems to be a yearly event at Frazier’s. Other weeks they always seem to have something going on. It really is a “happenin’ place”. See y’all there. — JP Brady
