Marco Aurelio wheat is named after one of the great Roman Emperors, the Marco Aurelio variety of 100% Italian origin wheat is grown in an area between Puglia and Emilia-Romagna and then ground in the Treviso countryside. This superior quality wheat variety, with its ancient grains and high nutritional properties, stands out for its colour, gluten elasticity and its obvious goodness.

Varietà Cappelli, defined as “the most beautiful durum wheat ever cultivated”, has been one of the most widespread crops in South-Central Italy for years. This variety, suitable for organic agriculture, features distinctive brownish-black awns and large glassy amber grains. Once stone milled, it produces a beautiful amber-yellow hued semolina. This colour is then highlighted in each and every La Famiglia Varietà Cappelli pasta cut.
