Welcome from Our Board Chair

This year, the first full year under the leadership of our President and CEO M. Lee Pelton, we announced a new strategic vision that places equity at the center of everything we do.

We also embraced our role as a civic leader, publishing fresh research, holding crucial conversations with our community’s stakeholders and successfully advocating for change on the policy level.

Through this work, as well as our grantmaking and the close partnerships we have with our donors and others, we addressed a number of the issues that are testing our resolve as a community.

You will learn about some of those issues and our responses in this annual report. We pledge to work with you to continue and expand upon this work in 2023 as we face our common future together.
