The inaugural Water Trail Fest will take place at Buchanan Town Park on Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 3:00-7:00, with certain activities commencing earlier. The purpose of this event is to provide education to the public about The Upper James River Water Trail & its amenities. From boating to fishing, to camping & swimming, the James River offers variety and entertainment to visitors and residents alike. Requested exhibitors are businesses or organizations that have a direct connection to river recreation. This may include providing river and boating safety courses, guided fishing trips, guiding river trips, camping or river recreation supplies, etc. No products will be sold by exhibitors during this event. The Water Trail Fest will commence when the 15th Annual Botetourt Children’s Fishing Carnival concludes. Limited spaces are available for full-day exhibitors (includes Fishing Carnival) and are on a first come, first serve basis.
