Cooking More with Less Fuel Super Combined Cookers with Turbo Hot Water Systems
S
ince designing and eventual introduction to the market of our Super Combined Cookers with Hot Water Systems, cooking has never been made that easy and economical in Institutions. Our super combined systems are designed to cook and heat water at the same time without using extra firewood. Using our continuous research data, BottoSolar has designed and produced a blend of heat recovered from the hot Chimney System and our Turbo Heat exchanger unit, pushing the science of thermodynamics and stove technology to its limits. Our Super combined cooker SPC 200/300 can cook 200Ltrs of food and heat 300Ltrs of water to over 85 degrees centigrade in an incredible 30 minutes. This pre-heated water is then used for cooking instead of using cold water cutting down the time taken in cooking and fuel consumption by over 70%. Hot water cylinder capacities in the Super Combined series are 100Ltrs, 200Ltrs, 300Ltrs, 400Ltrs & 500Ltrs. Larger sizes can also be made on order.

Heating water in this institution was done using electricity until the management found the high cost of electricity unsustainable. Botto-Solar was contacted and within 14 days we had installed a Mega Turbo 2000 ltrs system distributing hot water to ward 5,6,7,8,9,10, kitchen and laundry. he Hotel boasts of 50 guest rooms and cottages tastefully furnished with telephone facilities, Television, Wall to wall carpet etc. Due to the high Cost of heating water in this hotel using a diesel boiler which stood at Kshs. 180,000 a month, Botto-Solar Ltd. was approached to provide a more cost effective and sustainable hot water system. For maximum saving on firewood, we redesigned the plumbing system so that when room occupancy is low, only the boiler on the occupied wing is operated. In less than 14 days, our technicians had installed 2 units of Mega 2000Ltrs Turbo Systems, and one unit of 500Ltrs System. The cost of running this award winning hot water systems from Botto-Solar has brought down the cost of heating in this hotel from Kshs. 180,000 to only Kshs. 20,000 a month. The system is able to deliver 4,500Ltrs of hot steaming water in less than 90 Minutes. Heating in this hotel is done only once daily, and the water remains hot till the following day due to the well insulated hot water cylinders.
