WELCOME MESSAGE
Kia kaha koutou katoa, kia piki ki te taumata. On behalf of Bowls New Zealand I extend a warm welcome to all teams representing their clubs at the finals of the National Interclub Competition. This competition has two Divisions aimed at providing every club with the opportunity to enter, and is designed to encourage the growth, development and participation of players throughout the country. You have won the right to represent your Clubs by winning either your Division 1 or Division 2 Centre playoffs, and I wish you well in these finals. Division 1 is being hosted by Auckland Bowls with Howick Bowls as Headquarters. The following clubs are also hosting matches: Pakuranga, Auckland, Papatoetoe Hunters Corner, Hillsboro, Carlton Cornwall and Blockhouse Bay. Bowls North Harbour hosts Divison 2 using the facilities of seven clubs (Milford, Mairangi Bay, Birkenhead, Sunnybrae, Manly, Beach Haven and Takapuna) alongside Browns Bay as Headquarters. All our host clubs, including their members, greens staff and volunteers, have put in significant efforts to provide greens, club facilities and support for these finals and these are much appreciated – thank you. Thank you also to our markers, umpires, recorders and other officials whose contributions are such a large part of the tournament. To all the players: good luck, represent your clubs with pride, play hard but fair, and enjoy the camaraderie and competition. And on completion travel safely home and enjoy the rest of your season. Kati mo naianei Mike Spring President
