1. They are engineered to be quieter – “so all you will hear inside the car are road and wind noise”. Pirelli’s BEV-specific products incorporate sound-absorbing sponge beneath the tread.”

2. Most EVs don’t come with a spare tyre to save weight, which increases range. A tyre with runflat capabilities is being developed to keep the vehicle moving until the punctured tyre can be replaced.
