Charity Gold Day Raises $2.9 Million

The Liquor Industry Golf Club (LIGC) holds an annual golf day in February each year to support children’s charities here in South Australia.
This year’s event for the LIGC Charity Golf Day will be held on Monday 6 February 2023 @ Grange Golf Club – shotgun start at 7am.
There will be $80,000 from the 2022 Charity Day to distribute to selected children’s charities which will be announced closer to the event.
The Charity Day is a key event on the hospitality golf calendar and has raised considerable funds over the past 21 years of approx. $2.9M. It is attended by many industry businesses, providers and a contingent of hoteliers who also volunteer their help on the day.
Exceptional ongoing sponsorship has been assured by major sponsorship partners in BankSA and Grange Golf Club, to key corporates with Thomas Foods Australia, West End/Lion Beverages, Coopers Brewery, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, CUB Premium Beverages and many other allied liquor industry providers.
BankSA has secured their sponsorship of the Charity Day with a generous donation and provision of the BankSA marquee for hosting guests at lunch on the Practice Green, Grange Golf Club.
Rob Gillies, Chair of the LIGC Charity Day committee, understands what it will mean to the children’s charities who benefit from the funds this year.
“Our donations assist specific needs within charity groups for children who are most vulnerable, and BankSA’s generous donation to our day enables us to raise more funds to accommodate the many charities we support each year.
The day will be lifted with our continued support from BankSA along with Grange Golf Club on 6 February 2023,” said Rob.
The Charity Day will generate much needed funds for children’s charities, and move towards the landmark $3M raised.
