THEATRE ‘LOVE’

Personal Resposibilities: Elevation programing, elevation drawing, 3d model making, on-site resident, etc.

Unique L is a customized theatre for stage director Wang Chaoge’s new play called Unique Love in Yancheng, southeast of China. There was only 14-months-period for the project from design to establish. And in such an intensive schedule, Wangge office was in charge of most of the design works and drawings from the main building, to its interior and landscape design.

Personal Resposibilities (mainly focus on the northern part of the site): Elevation design , 3D model making, diagram drawing.

The State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) is a office headquarter project located in Beijing, with a total area of 227,198 sqm and a height of 59.8m. The building will serve as offices, laboratories, an archives center, conference rooms, and data centre.

Personal Resposibilities: 3D modeling, 2D drawings (plan, elevation, section), Render and compositing

The Pater Sangersbrug is a historic bridge that extends from the Belgian city of Maaseik to the Maas River, connecting Belgium and the Netherlands. Initially constructed in the 17th century and renovated after World War I, it continues to serve as a vital transportation route. In an effort to maintain uninterrupted traffic flow, plans are underway to rebuild the bridge. The new bridge will be constructed adjacent to the existing one, allowing for a phased approach where the old bridge will eventually be removed. Beyond its role as a traffic connector, the Pater Sangersbrug symbolizes the close bond between the two neighboring countries.

Extreme - Concert Hall in Tokyo / Academic project / 2016

Site: Tokyo, Japan

The project was under the Architecture Engineering studio in TU Delft, the course focusing on the technical solution in extreme environment. The assignment was to design a concert hall for amplified music in a narrow crowded site in Tokyo where have extreme weather and also facing the risk of earthquakes. The purpose of the project is to learn to analyze the problems (climate, acoustic, context, and seismic issues) and its possible solutions in an integral design.

Hyperbody - Interactive Installation / Academic project / 2017

Personal Resposibilities: form design, mechanical design

Site: Science Centre Delft, Netherlands

The project was under Hyperbody studio in TU Delft, the course focus on designing interaction system and application in places that improve the spacial quality and affecting the behavior of the people. This project is the main corridor of TU Delft Science Centre building which attracted dozens of visitors each day, but at the same time, it has very bad acoustic quality. In this case, we intend to design an installation that can improve the acoustic and at the same time indicating people to behave quieter and feel more enjoyable.

WORMHOLE OF KNOWLEDGE

Books are the soul of human civilization, and library is the vessel. A library is a spiritual source of a city, or a community, or a campus. Hence, in what form can such a building respond to the mental and physical needs for human today is the key to the question for this course project. In this project, we were given four weeks to do a research and analysis of the Library of Northwest University of Politics & Law as a team, and another four weeks for modification design independently.

Art and Architecture Center Design / Academic project / 2012

An art center is a large topic which has infinite possibilities because art itself is variable and abstract. People find their own place in this multivariant field. In this project, I put my vision on relationship between the building and the environment around. Inspired by traditional Chinese painting and the garden in front of the site, I decide to make a series of boxes carrying all objects, figure and behavior, and let them become scenery of each other. Such indirect intervention may simulate more unexpected possibilities of art.
