POP-UP HOUSE

Concept

Design the space by different time schedule. So each person could own the whole space when they use the space.

Classmate Catherine

This is a project for my class studio 2. In this project, all of us in are designers and clients. I need to design my classmate’s apartment. Another classmate also needs to design my apartment. My classmate and I could choose a person to live with her. There are three options: republican, refugee or roommate. We call it the “3R” project.

Refugee

Finally, in my project, we choose a refugee to live with my classmate. The most difficult problem is that the room is so tiny and my classmate, Catherine, doesn’t like to share space with other people.

Flowers hang on the trace and move along the track through the space. The movement of the flowers forms a cycle. In this way, customers don’t need to move in the space. They can just stand and pick up the flowers that they want.

Every time the flowers finish the cycle, they touch the surface of the water in the pool. In this way, the flowers are kept wet. The structure of the hook

In this project , I want to use an element that every one could connect it with “time”. After repeated thinking, I choosed “growth ring ”as the element which could not only represent “time” but could also reflect the history of the Shanghai brand watch.

CENTER Design method The project combines the concept of “growth ring“ and the idea of deconstructivism ,and use the hierarchical wood finishes as the main texture ,in order to create a circle layering in the vertical face of the constructure.

On the useing of the element , circle, curve and chamfering are the main elements. I use a large number of these elements in order to make people feel the preciseness and the nature.

This project also create a great visual effect by the using the tone of shadow and the material skillfully. All of these that I mentioned before create the perfect space which could attract the customers to taste.

In this project, I still use the classical black-white-grey as the main tone. In order to rich the space, I use the different materials which have the same color to express the project, and use grey as the transitional color. Futhermore ,I use grey-purple to intersperse the space .

INTERIOR DESIGN OF GLOBAL GEOGRAPHI Project base

This is a group program, and I was a part of them. The hole program is an interior design of the Global Geographic Center. And I design a conference room on the second floor. The concept of the whole design comes from Taosim, and I combine the concept with ocean and finished the design of the conference room.

INTERIOR DESIGN OF GLOBAL GEOGRAPHI Project one

Ocean is a great element to express that people wa live with nature harmoniously. Nowdays, ocean wh the place that doesn’t be used for living by pe already be destroyed. Thus, the first project use and ‘wave’ as the main element and combine wit curve which extract from Tao Te Ching.(Alread described in the first page of this project.) By this making people feel that they stay at the bottom o ocean ,and evoke the idea that want to living with n harmoniously.

After the group discussion, we choose the project one as the final project. Because there are some commercial on project two. On the contrary, the expression of the project one are more creative, and the visual effects also is better than project two.

In Taoism, lotus represent the start of the universe. Pangu who open the universe and creat the sky and land was bron in the lotus in fairy tales. Thus, the lotus reflect Taoism ideas about living harmoniously with nature and perfectly explain the main concepta about ‘Taoism follow nature’. Throught to this , I use the lotus as the main element and combine with the elements that extract from ‘sky’ and ’land’ .
