About Us The ‘Bangladeshi Parents and Carers Association’ (BPCA), was formed in 1998 and is a specialist voluntary organisation working with people with multiple disabilities. A humble beginning with Bangladeshi families led project working in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets which now provides day care facilities for dependency users. Today BPCA has become one of the largest Day Care Centres in the Voluntary Sector in Tower Hamlets, with a new Day Care Centre opened (2013) in Newham. Values & Ethos “Treating people as unique individuals whose life has been shaped by social inequalities and discrimination” What do we provide? We provide culturally appropriate day service for people with Learning, Physical and Sensory disabilities. We provide a variety of educational, social and leisure activities. We have fully equipped day centres with ICT training facility, state of the art sensory room, arts and craft workshop and other multipurpose activity rooms. We also provide community based activities, residential breaks and a variety of recreational and leisure activities. We are planning to setup new services such as Home Care and Respite Care in the near future. Staff All staff members hold NVQ qualifications in Health and Social Care. Senior staffs have higher level of training at the Learning Disability Award Framework (LDAF, Level 2, 3, and 4). Ongoing training and support is provided for all staff members. Regular supervision is provided and staff appraisals and meetings are held on a regular basis

Who is it for? Adults with learning, physical and sensory disabilities. To use our services You can be self referred Referred by family or friend. Referred by: • Social Services • Health Service • Other Voluntary Organisation What is the cost? • 1:1 (Including Transport) from £112/day • 1:3 (Including Transport) from £45/day • Lunch and Refreshments £2/day Services Services provided by the BPCA are tailor made to meet the changing needs of the clients as it is delivered in a professional manner. BPCA is committed to providing a learning and social environment in which the rights and dignity of all its members are respected. Our services are designed to help greater involvement and participation of those who are disabled and their parents, carers or guardians. Transport BPCA has its transport facilities with escort and drivers to provide transport for our service users. More abled users come to the Centre using public transport or walk to the Centre. Opening Times Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
