Discover the Spanish Touch In Art Apartment with BRABBU Since the beginning, BRABBU’s ambition is to design and provide clients with outstanding spaces that meet their needs and personality, while creating a cosy harmony within each space. To the stories of the clients it will be added the narrative that BRABBU tells in each design piece, including tales about nature and the various cultures of the world. And this time, it’s in Barcelona that all those stories will be embodied by each piece manufactured by BRABBU, creating an atmosphere of romanticism in an apartment that defies its own concept by imposing itself as an “Art Apartment”. This apartment has been renewed by the interior design studio Recdi8, which is based in the same city. The design team has studied the story of the building and made an effort to preserve the original elements that were being lost in the recent decades. Taking inspiration from nature as well as styles like Rococo and Romanticism, all pieces were painstakingly selected to be included in this project. Thus, the classical and mid- century living room becomes the perfect stage for the integration of BRABBU’s pieces. The 4 MAYA armchairs fully upholstered with cotton velvet are part of the living room decoration set and they act as contrastive elements in terms of colours, while creating a harmonious ambiance filled with the forces of nature, which is something that characterizes all the pieces of the brand. It was a great privilege for BRABBU to participate in this project since it is closely related to its identity.
MAYA ARMCHAIR The yellow colour of MAYA Armchair was inspired by corn, an essential element of the Maya culture, since it was an integral part for all aspects of life from religion to mythology. Represented on the Sacred Tree of Life at Palenque, the Mayan God of Corn was personified as a woman, symbolising fertility, abundance and nourishment. MAYA armchair features delicate and sensual lines of the female body as well as the forces of the Sacred Tree of Life and this amazing combination makes it the central piece of any living room. The softness of its velvet gives an incomparable feeling of comfort and luxury.
