Northwest Charlotte

sevenjars.com

Before there was an ABC Commission in North Carolina, tax paid liquor was distributed over the streets of Charlotte and across North Carolina in the back of A-model Fords. Seven Jars Distillery is a direct legacy of that era – and the result of the knowledge, experience and incredible vision of Frank Ratcliffe His desire to bring quality spirits to those who wish to enjoy the finer things in life live on in our craft spirits, built on decades of experience and dedication to one goal; making people happy!

Although he passed away in 1977, Frank foresaw the eventual boom in small craft distilleries – and hid his secrets for distilling great spirits in seven mason jars buried on the family property. We didn’t find them on the first try, and in fact it took almost two years of digging before we found the “Treasure”

Southern Grace Distilleries

Doc Porter’s Distillery

Lower South End

www.docporters.com

Southern Grace Distilleries was founded on the simple yet strongly held belief that a group of friends, through tireless effort and a relentless commitment to quality, could make world-class whiskeys in the great Southern tradition. Southern Grace was founded in 2014 in Concord, North Carolina, becoming the first legal distillery in Cabarrus County

The distillery, originally housed in the Warren Coleman Mill on Main Street, moved into an abandoned State prison in Mount Pleasant, North Carolina, over the Labor Day weekend in 2016 in order to expand production to include Bourbon. Southern Grace converted the 1929 prison dorm and the solitary confinement “Hot Box” into barrel houses where nationally awarded Conviction Straight Bourbon Whiskey is aged Named The Best Bourbon in America Under Four Years Old, Conviction goes from grain to glass entirely on the Southern Grace property.

Making beautiful, handmade craft spirits is our passion. Every drop of Doc Porter’s vodka, gin, bourbon and rye is made from scratch using locally-sourced grains from North Carolina

We believe in integrity and supporting local farmers , which is why we don’t re-bottle alcohol produced from the larger manufacturers (Bourbon or Grain Neutral Spirits). Every product we release is made from start to finish under our distillery roof, right here in Lower South End, Charlotte We’re hands-on in all steps of the process, from milling and mashing to fermentation and distillation
